The New York Times Propagandistically Distorts the Death Panel Legislation So Essential to Socialized Medicine and Euthanasia.

The New York Times Propagandistically Distorts the Death Panel Legislation So Essential to Socialized Medicine and Euthanasia.

The New York Times, aka the Walter Duranty Papers[1] is a propaganda machine that has a single focus: to form public opinion to support any far left-liberal legislation or policies that may arise from time to time and to redact and reconstruct history to show that such programs in the past have been successful and beneficial to our citizens.

This paper exhibits a very narrow and primitive view of government in its analysis and endorsements of all legislation and government policies.  This paper is 100% behind socialized medicine of the one-payer monolithic sort, 100% behind state sponsored abortion on demand, and 100% behind the reduction of population growth in the US. They are 100% behind legalization of dope, sloth, sodomy with children or animals and want to give amnesty to criminals who steal Social Security numbers to get jobs then fail to file tax forms. The costs of healthcare cannot be contained politically without rationing and old white people are going to be the first to find out that their healthcare services has been truncated.

In a current article in the Money & Policy section of the New York Times the first elements of a good propaganda piece are brazenly flourished with due pomp and circumstance:

WASHINGTON — The stubborn yet false rumor that President Obama’s health care proposals would create government-sponsored “death panels” to decide which patients were worthy of living seemed to arise from nowhere in recent weeks.”[2]-- False ‘Death Panel’ Rumor Has Some Familiar Roots By Jim Rutenberg and Jackie Calmes Published: August 13, 2009 [Emphasis is mine in all quotes.]

Following high-quality propaganda rules[3] we soon  learn from the title of this article that this newspaper is courageously debunking some myth or lie and that the source of such distortions are known and are routine.  The implication presented to the reader is that this debunking process is an ongoing process, both truthful and egalitarian, and neutralizes or corrects a stream of similar disinformation pieces from the same old mill. The manufacture of propaganda pieces,[4][5][6][7] a fine art espoused and daily demonstrated by the New York Times, similar to other avenues of disinformation  such as Pravda and The Nation, are usually designed to sway the reader with some raving histrionics and disinformation about the evils of capitalism, some attack from the right-wing  and how socialism or one of its variants can raise us up from the Brink of Disaster. Such pieces are swimming with personal attacks. Wonderful promises about truth and justice are proffered and the criminals on the right are exposed and condemned as the writers get their due applause and prepare to turn the puerile crank on another episode.[8] Sausages are made using a similar process.

As is proper to their station, the authors cite inflammatory names, themes and politicians of their enemies in standard tone:

Here we go with the humdrum attacks in scatter gun style:

Advanced … by Republican stalwarts including the party’s last vice-presidential nominee, Sarah Palin, and Charles E. Grassley, … reminiscent of the modern-day viral Internet campaigns that dogged Mr. Obama last year, falsely calling him a Muslim and questioning his nationality.

… rumor — which has come up at Congressional town-hall-style meetings this week …

… months ago from many of the same pundits and conservative media outlets that were central in defeating President Bill Clinton’s health care proposals 16 years ago, including the editorial board of The Washington Times, the American Spectator magazine and Betsy McCaughey, whose 1994 health care critique made her a star of the conservative movement (and ultimately, New York’s lieutenant governor).”-- False ‘Death Panel’ Rumor

This excavation in current affairs is cut away with a rusty machete and slings mud and debris over a very wide landscape during the writing frenzy. This type of ‘background’ is known as a screed[9] in the literary world. The opening tends to convince that reader that we must, again, put aside and correct the lies and deflect the torment directed at some noble cause at hand. Histrionics and names are displayed vividly and associated with horror or misdeeds of the past. Evil doers are identified by name and excoriated for their past sins. Very jejune, but that is standard for leftist rants.

The handling of the ‘facts’ is another matter in such rants however:

There is nothing in any of the legislative proposals that would call for the creation of death panels or any other governmental body that would cut off care for the critically ill as a cost-cutting measure.”-- False ‘Death Panel’ Rumor

Not true. A lie. A view from the center:

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, insisted that they excise the part about end-of-life provisions “… because of the way they could be misinterpreted and implemented incorrectly.[10]” This is precisely the reason for vague legislation. Radical jurists like Sotomayor[11] could slant the courts by merely interpreting such vague language as a mandate for health care operatives to select those with serious diseases or just getting old and withhold medicines or procedures to save money.  A classic case of this false wording is cast in the phony, racist 1964 Civil Rights Act[12] that seemed to prevent discrimination by skin color complicated with issue of busing. This act allowed reverse discrimination and quotas that barred whites with better test scores than blacks from admission to medical schools.[13] Allan Bakke was discriminated against [twice] due only to his race. “Slots” were reserved for blacks. Justice Lewis Powell “…found that quotas insulated minority applicants from competition with the regular applicants and were thus unconstitutional because they discriminated against non-minority applicants. Powell however stated that universities could use race as a plus factor. He cited the Harvard College Admissions Program which had been filed as anamicus curiae as an example of a constitutionally valid affirmative action program which took into account all of an applicant's qualities including race in a "holistic review".[14] Powell disgraced himself with this blather and his ‘opinion’ now  looks like some  stooge babble for the radical  left.

Such examples of legal twaddle from Justice Lewis Powell offer a model for more judicial activism that unerringly corrupts the original intent of our legislation in the first place. We cite an example where a medical student known as Allen Bakke was blatantly discriminated against by having his admission denied at UCLA in the full glow of the fluffy language of the Civil Rights Act thus making a shaggy dog story out of our civil rights legislation. Radical racist revenge-based legislation like this needs some “holistic reviews.” The NYT is on the job.

The intent of the bill is now explained by the left:

A pending House bill has language authorizing Medicare to finance beneficiaries’ consultations with professionals on whether to authorize aggressive and potentially life-saving interventions later in life. Though the consultations would be voluntary, and a similar provision passed in Congress last year without such a furor, Mr. Grassley said it was being dropped in the Senate “because of the way they could be misinterpreted [or deliberately expanded by an activist court ed] and implemented incorrectly.””-- False ‘Death Panel’ Rumor

Euthanasia and abortion are the only two reasonable  resources the left have of sustaining a zero-growth level in population and for cutting costs at the expense of their political enemies—old white folk. They would be as voluntary as they were in Soylent Green, where many of us should just go home[15].’ That would also lower our collective carbon footprint.

Unmentioned in this article, hence the article lies by an act of omission [see definition of propaganda below in foot notes], is the sad case of Barbara Wagner of Oregon. The cancer-stricken woman was denied a medicine that would prolong her life but offered a suicide agent with the following pathetic explanation from some Oregon official:

“[Dr. Som] Saha said state health officials do not consider whether it is cheaper for someone in the health plan to die than live. However, he admitted they must consider the state’s limited dollars when dealing with a case such as Wagner’s.

“If we invest thousands and thousands of dollars in one person’s days to weeks, we are taking away those dollars from someone,” Saha said.” [16]

Such double talk is standard fare, however, from the far left.  This is an example of the zero sum rule espoused by the left and mumbling about costs allows money to be withheld from this poor woman but used for abortions or other trendy progressive procedures that align with the leftist socialist agenda.

We cannot trust our government or our courts with ‘legislation’ that slings phrases and nostrums around like fluids in the primate cage in the Washington D.C. Zoo unless we want to submit to confiscatory taxes, euthanasia, abortion, confiscation of our guns and attacks on our free speech rights. This bill is 1018 pages in length at the present.

We can always trust, however, the Walter Duranty Papers[17] to provide us with topics and propaganda products that we should be concerned with. They hate us Real Americans and realize that they cannot survive in our capitalist society that is cognitively driven and that rewards hard work and honesty and runs smoothly according to moral principles and our deep religious beliefs,[18] so they must resort to confiscatory taxes[19] or, now, the euthanasia of old white folks to get to our wealth.  Think about how much they can gain in taxes from inheritance taxes if they just whack the old folks—particularly the old white ones with fat 401(k)s! They could afford more drug rehab facilities.

Such is the disgusting mission of the progressive left. We have seen their vision in California [20] and Oregon and it stinks. When we vote next time we need to think about this and take a "holistic review" of the leftist candidates and wimpy stooges who support legislation like this. Vote them out!

[3] Propaganda is communication aimed at influencing the attitude of a community toward some cause or position. As opposed to impartially providing information, propaganda in its most basic sense, presents information primarily to influence an audience. Propaganda often presents facts selectively (thus lying by omission) to encourage a particular synthesis, or uses loaded messages to produce an emotional rather than rational response to the information presented. The desired result is a change of the attitude toward the subject in the target audience to further a political agendahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propaganda

Leading sponsor Hubert Humphrey wrote two amendments specifically designed to outlaw busing.[16] Humphrey said "if the bill were to compel it, it would be a violation [of the Constitution], because it would be handling the matter on the basis of race and we would be transporting children because of race."[16] While Javits said any government official who sought to use the bill for busing purposes "would be making a fool of himself," two years later the Department of Health, Education and Welfare said that Southern school districts would be required to meet mathematical ratios of students by busing.[16]" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Rights_Act_of_1964

The Hag of Harpur and the Old Red Lady both Criticize the Obama Healthcare System and Hillary

The Hag of Harpur and the Old Red Lady both Criticize the Obama Healthcare System and Hillary

A mere few months ago the liberals were all pneumatic and gaga over the Obama Phenomenon that would ‘change’ the world presumably for the better. Peggy Johnson [a welfare queen?] thought she would now escape having to pay her mortgage or even pay for her gas.[1][2] A 787 billion dollar stimulus was going to keep unemployment below 8% with shovel-ready projects and put Americans back to work.  Overt racism, that massive leftist political vector that helped pile heaps of phony votes in the liberal ballot boxes to their advantage, is now boiling over across the land in public and causing an unfortunate repercussion.[3] Today, somebody apparently ran out of drugs or sensed an ominous political outcome rising and woke up to some frightening elements of  reality. So now two liberal ladies respond to the alarm by offering their criticisms in  today’s New York Times, aka the Walter Duranty Papers [4] and Salon.com the psychologically unstable but amusingly cartoonish webrag for the far left. [5] One lady stubbornly holds the political line but casts dispersions upon Hillary and the other wanders off into the unknown waters of pure reason and then casts dispersions upon Hillary. That is balance.

Background for the Two Ladies:

President Obama has packed his administration with lunatic left-wing radicals and criminals, featuring Colonel Klebb, his Secretary of Statelessness,[6] among numerous others, and with all this public foaming now highlights the carbon dioxide polluted clouds with a sticky warm glow from her sour thunder. His stimulus is not working, his futile attempts to control unemployment [is it %10 or %15.8[7] or perhaps %13-15[8] or, according to Merrill Lynch, is it 13.9%??[9]] are both insane and unsound and all he can do is talk about spending more printed money[10] and place blame on the idiot Bush.[11] The cancerous debt levels we currently are burdened with will probably sink our economy in hyperinflation for decades. His approval rating is tanking and now his phony Healthcare thingy is rotting at the base, all five of them. Town hall meeting places are staged with puppets near unto riot conditions.  Some loyal Democrats now offer words of caution and one even selects a few heads to immediately roll into the basket in French Revolution terms. Didn’t Hillary tell us he had no experience?[12]

First off: Maureen Dowd

In this summer of our discontent[13], fights are spreading like mountain wildfires — from a town hall in Lebanon, Pa., to one in Kinshasa, Congo. Never before have we had so many tools to learn and to communicate. Yet the art of talking, listening and ascertaining the truth seems more elusive than ever in this Internet and cable age, lost in a bitter stream of blather and misinformation.[14]-- Toilet-Paper Barricades[15] By Maureen Dowd Op-Ed Columnist Published: August 11, 2009 [Emphasis is mine in all quotes.]

We can only wonder which side she is raving about. Listening and truth??

The postpartisan, postracial, post-Clinton-dysfunction world that Barack Obama was supposed to usher in when he hit town on his white charger, with turtle doves tweeting, has vanished.”-- Toilet-Paper Barricades By Maureen Dowd

A sour myth given Obama’s 20 years of tender instruction in a front pew listening to Jeremiah Wright or paling around with Bill Ayers. Dowd did get the Clinton era scene described fairly well.

Instead of a multicultural tableau of beaming young idealists on screen, we see ugly scenes of mostly older and white malcontents, disrupting forums where others have come to actually learn something. Instead of hope, we get swastikas, death threats and T-shirts proclaiming “Proud Member of the Mob.”-- Toilet-Paper Barricades By Maureen Dowd

This is prototypical and protosimian NYT if ever we read a single paragraph. There were NO swastikas demonstrated on the liberal media that I could find [but Nancy Pelosi has seen them and only one report will suffice to inflame her sodden masses[16]], but we do see low-class union thugs of all colors pushing and shoving people as they seem to be acting in some kind of crowd control mode as they are allowed to enter first into town hall meetings to set up an intimidative[17] presence. Did we see any La Raza or Mecha signs signaling the concept of the reconquistador?[18]  That is another matter. This is revolutionary talk, also part of the leftist political agenda. This is evident in the Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, or MEChA.[19] They dare not show up at this time. They will get their reward from Obama when he tries to grant amnesty to all illegal aliens and perhaps institute some affirmative action programs to redress our ‘sins of the past’ against Hispanics. Will our taxes go up?

Now, for the second lady Camille Paglia:

Case in point: the administration's grotesque mishandling of healthcare reform, one of the most vital issues facing the nation. Ever since Hillary Clinton's megalomaniacal annihilation of our last best chance at reform in 1993 (all of which was suppressed by the mainstream media when she was running for president), Democrats have been longing for that happy day when this issue would once again be front and center.”

But who would have thought that the sober, deliberative Barack Obama would have nothing to propose but vague and slippery promises -- or that he would so easily cede the leadership clout of the executive branch to a chaotic, rapacious, solipsistic Congress? House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, whom I used to admire for her smooth aplomb under pressure, has clearly gone off the deep end with her bizarre rants about legitimate town-hall protests by American citizens. She is doing grievous damage to the party and should immediately step down.”[20]--Obama's healthcare horror.” -Heads should roll -- beginning with Nancy Pelosi's! By Camille Paglia Wednesday, Aug 12, 2009

Camille hacks away at Hillary [aka Colonel Klebb]. Camille’s training at Harpur College [The State University of New York now Binghamton University—also my alma mater] is incomplete if she wanders away from the narrow leftist latrine that most liberals saunter down with a smug grin, a bucket full of clichés and while humming some  old anti war tunes.  To attack Nancy is a heresy. What other leftist has done that? Criticisms from the rank-and-file members of the Party of Democrats directed against Nancy are as rare as swastikas at town hall meetings.

I just don't get it. Why the insane rush to pass a bill, any bill, in three weeks? And why such an abject failure by the Obama administration to present the issues to the public in a rational, detailed, informational way? The U.S. is gigantic; many of our states are bigger than whole European nations. The bureaucracy required to institute and manage a nationalized health system here would be Byzantine beyond belief and would vampirically[21] absorb whatever savings Obama thinks could be made. And the transition period would be a nightmare of red tape and mammoth screw-ups, which we can ill afford with a faltering economy.”--Heads should roll -- beginning with Nancy Pelosi's! By Camille Paglia

The contrast here is alarming. We can plainly see that one dedicated leftist is sticking to the authorized script while another drifts off into the forbidden zone of independent thought. Liberals fear to tread in those places. Here we read two brummagems[22] rapping on the drum and stirring the cauldron for a liquid vision of what might transpire in the near future. With Obama’s approval ratings plummeting like a dead pigeon their fears are justified.

Both ladies are correct only in mixed contexts, but both are in full agreement about Hillary Clinton.

This is some truth and honesty agreement left in the left-liberal carnival system yet. And that means trouble.

Averting the Worst in Liberalism as Contrasted by Paul Krugman. Tax and Spend our way to Prosperity.

Averting the Worst in Liberalism as Contrasted by Paul Krugman. Tax and Spend our way to Prosperity.

Abstract: Krugman of the New York Times announces the heroic escape from another Great Depression and we can show gratitude for Big Government for its expertise in averting this disaster from clever and massing printing of money.  There is cautious praise for the lever pullers in Washington, but no mention of spending cuts or debt in this article. It seems that massive spending projects are still the only way out for a Krugman type to suggest to fix the economy. More spending and bigger government is the Eternal Pair of Solutions for any leftist government plan. He thinks we should spend more. I think he wants to wreck the economy and provide an excuse for a socialist takeover.

The manufacture of propaganda pieces,[1][2][3][4] a fine art espoused and daily demonstrated by the New York Times, and other avenues of disinformation  such as Pravda and The Nation, are usually designed to sway the reader with some raving histrionics and disinformation about the evils of capitalism and how socialism or one of its variants can us up from the Brink of Disaster. Wonderful promises are made and the criminals on the right are exposed and condemned as we turn the crank on another episode.

Today, for our amusement and political education, our esteemed non-economist from the New York Times, that is known affectionately as the Walter Duranty Papers, we present Dr. Paul Krugman[5][6] or Mr. Nobel Laureatte, as he squeezes off another propagandistic offalette[7] proving that Big Government has saved us all from Depression!! Let’s spend more! We can solve our problems with the printing press and higher taxes on productive people.

We are thrilled to learn this!

So it seems that we aren’t going to have a second Great Depression after all. What saved us? The answer, basically, is Big Government.[8]-- Averting the Worst By Paul Krugman Op-Ed Columnist Published: August 9, 2009 [Emphasis is mine in all quotes.]

We can be so thankful.  Now, we wonder who and how:

Just to be clear: the economic situation remains terrible, indeed worse than almost anyone thought possible not long ago.”-- Averting the Worst By Paul August 9, 2009

Really? Isn’t this an excuse to blame Bush? But Obama was going to rescue us with his stimulus and hold unemployment below 8%. He promised! Did he lie or is he just some hack politico from the sewers of Chicago? They have produced a few outstanding criminals in that town and a few top shelf governors for our amusement in the past. Maybe we will have a mini depression or a micro depression? Let us think about the unemployment rate now pushing 10% using the old method and this level actually approaches several numbers all bigger than %10: %15.8[9] or perhaps %13-15[10] or according to Merrill Lynch it is 13.9%.[11] Why does the government pick the smaller number? To keep them from looking like losers and jerks?

The truth, even from CNBC [08 Jun 2009]:

President Barack Obama promised Monday to deliver more than 600,000 jobs through his $787 billion stimulus plan this summer, with federal agencies pumping billions into public works projects, schools and summer youth programs.

The administration's predictions that unemployment would rise no higher than 8 percent already have been shattered, leaving Obama's advisers to caution that job growth takes time, even as recovery spending intensifies.”-- Obama Promises More than 600,000 Stimulus Jobs By: AP |08 Jun 2009. [Emphasis is mine in all quotes.]

This was a month ago. Other views on unemployment:

Most forecasts predict that Americans are in for a long, painful slog as they try to get back to work. Some forecasts don't have the unemployment rate getting back to "normal" levels of around 5 percent until 2014

“One key reason is that this recession had its roots in the financial sector. Growth will be hobbled because of the deep damage banks suffered during the financial meltdown last fall, which will make them less likely to lend money and fuel the economic recovery, said Chris Varvares, president of the National Association for Business Economics.

That means credit, which is the lifeblood of economic growth, will be slow to come even after orders start to pick up and businesses want to expand. [12]--Meltdown 101: Why unemployment will linger By Christopher Leonard (AP) – 22 hours ago

Singing another song:

So what saved us from a full replay of the Great Depression? The answer, almost surely, lies in the very different role played by government.”-- Averting the Worst By Paul August 9, 2009

How much of this was President Bush’s works? None of it?? His stimulus plan apparently didn’t work? Was the War in Iraq a stimulus?  Could Obama spend us into a depression??

Never cut spending even in a recession or depression or whatever.

“…the federal government hasn’t slashed spending as its income has fallen….”-- Averting the Worst By Paul August 9, 2009

Doesn’t this lead to deficit and a bigger national debt??

Apparently, spending is the key to recovery like we see in California where they refuse to cut spending. I think Krugman has shown us a gem here, and it sparkles. We need to spend more like California.[13] We can spend our way back from the abyss! We can all be rich if we print enough money.

Banks and bailouts bungled?

“… the government has stepped in to rescue the financial sector. You can argue (and I would) that the bailouts of financial firms could and should have been handled better, that taxpayers have paid too much and received too little. Yet it’s possible to be dissatisfied, even angry, about the way the financial bailouts have worked while acknowledging that without these bailouts things would have been much worse.”--Averting the Worst By Paul August 9, 2009

Did we pay too much for GM and Chrysler? Are we ever going to get our money back from these two fiascos? Or was this just a peach tossed to the good ol’ union buddies now roughing up protesters[14]at town hall meetings? The unions did pay a lot for the Obama government did they not? Quid pro quo?? Was that a bribe? Remember the strikes, head bashing and sabotage of business during the 30s? That was good Democratic politics! If they disagree with Obama then beat them up, or worse. Democratic politics in action.

About $780 bln for the current stimulus and only 10% was spent so far and the rest is to do what? Krugman calls for another stimulus. What for? To bloat the pigs who are Demoncraps in the states? We can all wonder how much more Krugman wants.

Spend more:

Last and probably least, but by no means trivial, have been the deliberate efforts of the government to pump up the economy. From the beginning, I argued that the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, a k a the Obama stimulus plan, was too small. ”-- Averting the Worst By Paul August 9, 2009

Notice that the word DEBT is missing from all this. Little Timmy Geithner [read TAX CHEAT] now calls for in an increase in the US debt limit.[15] Isn’t he part of the Big Government that ‘understands’ how this system works??

He is worried:

I’m still very worried about the economy. There’s still, I fear, a substantial chance that unemployment will remain high for a very long time. But we appear to have averted the worst: utter catastrophe no longer seems likely.

And Big Government, run by people who understand its virtues, is the reason why.”-- Averting the Worst By Paul August 9, 2009

As always, we get half a loaf. Big government is praised unless it is of the massive type that George Bush seemed to allow. Debt, now soaring, is not mentioned. Nancy Pelosi had firm control over the last THREE budgets, which included Bush’s last two years. Most of the bailouts and such happened under Bush and Pelosi—not Obama. They seem to have spent about 3-5 trillion dollars on fluff and Fannie Mae seems to have between 3 and 5  more trillion dollars worth of phony mortgages thanks to the Marxian bunglers at that site. Krugman appears to be blissfully unaware that the CRA [the phony Community Communist Reinvestment Act][16][17]  forced banks to lend out money at loss and that this contributed to the collapse of the credit markets. The phony mortgages were bundled and sold as ‘investments.’ Fanny Mae was the toilet where bad loans could be flushed and Franklin Del Ano Raines[18] made a cool $90,000,000 dollars off this scam. Oh, he is black and works for Obama [or did during the campaign]? Oh, yes. Is Raines a fat cat under your definition Paul? This was all a vision of Greenlining.[19]How many illegal aliens have sub prime mortgages? 5 million??

This is hopeless cherry picking at a time of national disaster. Krugman only selects the positive or the least gray and stinky  of the factors in our crashing economy and pumps them up with fictional promising attributes. Our currency is still in danger of sliding on the international markets, oil prices are rising, unemployment still rises and no mention this time of mortgage rescues or the fact the Fannie Mae needs yet another bailout.

Our economy is collapsing. [20]

Krugman is a simple mindless Tax Zombie.  He has nothing else to offer other than the theft of other people’s money by taxation or confiscation. If we were in the height of another Great Depression he would always recommend we raise taxes. Krugman is only defiant on one issue in economics and that is his ongoing crusade against the existence of Tax-cut Zombies.[21]  He hates tax cuts. He is always in favor of higher taxes and bigger government. Pick an issue or a product or service and Krugman will advise that we tax it.[22] Tax cuts do NOT spur growth in the economy he thinks. Krugman knows this and acts as if he never read elementary texts on economics or a corporate balance sheet, serious questions. He is not an economist—he is a political operative. His Nobel Prize is a joke from a Marxist Pack of gun and bomb selling losers:

We face serious problems in this country now with our total debt [now at 54 trillion and some of it unfunded liability] approaching our net asset levels [about 57 trillion and sinking]  and this guy would raise taxes and take us down and under. I think this is a plan to sink our economy and steal our wealth thru inflation and taxation and put socialists, or rank Communists, in charge.  Obama is just the guy to do this.

Vote these maggots out of office.

[16]Bear Stearns made the first public securitization of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) loans started in 1997.[6] Editorialists in some American newspapers[7][8] and US Congressman Ron Paul[9] say the CRA loans were lent to otherwise un-credit-worthy consumers in the name of ending discrimination, although an analysis of actual lending patterns does not generally support this conclusion.[10][11][12]

On June 22, 2007, Bear Stearns pledged a collateralized loan of up to $3.2 billion to "bail out" one of its funds, the Bear Stearns High-Grade Structured Credit Fund, while negotiating with other banks to loan money against collateral to another fund, the Bear Stearns High-Grade Structured Credit Enhanced Leveraged Fund.[13] The funds were invested in thinly traded collateralized debt obligations (CDOs) found to be worth less than their mark-to-market value. Merrill Lynch seized $850 million worth of the underlying collateral but only was able to auction $100 million of them. The incident sparked concern of contagion as Bear Stearns might be forced to liquidate its CDOs, prompting a mark-down of similar assets in other portfolios.[14][15] Richard A. Marin, a senior executive at Bear Stearns Asset Management responsible for the two hedge funds, was replaced on June 29 by Jeffrey B. Lane, a former Vice Chairman of rival investment bank, Lehman Brothers.[16]

During the week of July 16, 2007, Bear Stearns disclosed that the two subprime hedge funds had lost nearly all of their value amid a rapid decline in the market for subprime mortgages.

More Americans Doubt Global Warming and Other Forms of EcoNazism

It is difficult to believe that more Americans can believe anything that loathsome parasite Al Gore has to say after all the bribery and attempts to cancel ballots from military people in the 2000 election. Al Gore and EcoNazism are synonymous terms.[1] The Global Warming Zombies predict the temp will rise with CO2 levels and now they go down. Do they look like jerks yet?[2]

Here, it is summed up well:

Here's what Gallup found: The number of Americans who say the media have exaggerated global warming jumped to a record 41 percent in 2009, up from 35 percent a year ago. The most marked increase came among political independents, whose ranks of doubters swelled from 33 percent to 44 percent. Republican doubters grew from 59 percent to 66 percent, while Democratic skeptics stayed at around 20 percent.”[3]-- Political climate for energy policies cools Poll: Economy outweighs environment  By Jennifer Robison Aug. 09, 2009  [Emphasis is mine in all quotes.]

Little Timmy Geithner Calls for New Debt Limits. Up Got Your Taxes! Liberalism is Upon Us.

Little Timmy Geithner Calls for New Debt Limits. Up Go Your Taxes! Liberalism is Upon Us.

Our economy is sinking in a debt-driven deflationary spiral[1][2] of immense proportions and now our Secretary of the Treasury wants us to up the debt. Apparently, they still ignore the salient fact that debt and massive spending got us into this mess and spending more will only throw us into an inflationary period that may last decades and degrade our currency. The Chinese “hate us” for printing money.[3] The Chinese and Indians know what  our little cretin is doing to the economy and currency.

They WILL NOT cut spending and now have upped the number of pleasure craft airplanes known as for 8 Gulfstream and Boeing planes for a cost of $550,000,000??[4] Will these planes ferry our ‘elected’ officials to the Paris Air Show where they can ‘do our bidness’ with the French, hookers and influence peddlers?

Washington -- U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner asked Congress to increase the $12.1 trillion debt limit on Friday, saying it is "critically important" that they act in the next two months.””[5]-- Geithner Asks Congress to Increase Federal Debt Limit By Corey Boles at corey.boles@dowjones.com and Michael R. Crittenden AUGUST 8, 2009, 12:40 A.M. ET  [Emphasis is mine in all quotes.]

Since there are only 60 million taxpayers this works out to $201,666 for each taxpayer on average. Just forget that this is a per capita tax load as very few people pay taxes in this country at the federal level. That will have to change. Please note that the top 1-3% of the taxpayers will have to pay 80% or more of this load and many are business owners who can just shut down business and move out of the country. The USA is now the most hostile place to do business on the planet.

So, if they move out as they are doing in CA and NY and NJ already, who pays the debt? Oh! Sure! We can just keep on printing money, a process known as ‘quantitative easing.’ That makes me feel better.

In our last episode, Little Timmy Geithner, the Tax Cheat, danced his little Dunciad[6] in the presence of competent folk from the People’s Republic and they laughed at him. He looked like a worm. He cannot lie to them and puff visions of sugar plums up their hinter parts as he can for the Democrats in the US. His lies are, however, well supported by liberal Democrats who want to hang on to power even if they have to trash our economy and society.

Our little elfin being has this to say:

BEIJING (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on Monday reassured the Chinese government that its huge holdings of dollar assets are safe and reaffirmed his faith in a strong U.S. currency.”[7]-- Geithner tells China its dollar assets are safe

On Monday June 1, 2009, By Glenn Somerville [Emphasis is mine in all quotes.]

Now, I am afraid.

In his speech, Geithner renewed pledges that the Obama administration would cut its huge fiscal deficits and promised "very disciplined" future spending, possibly including reintroduction of pay-as-you-go budget rules instead of nonstop borrowing.

"We have the deepest and most liquid markets for risk-free assets in the world. We're committed to bring our fiscal deficits down over time to a sustainable level.

"We believe in a strong dollar ... and we're going to make sure that we repair and reform the financial system so that we sustain confidence," he said.”[8]-- Geithner Monday June 1, 2009

Can we believe this tax cheat or Nancy Pelosi [a.k.a. Spartacus] [9][10] and her rush to spend trillions on bigger and farther-left government?? Didn’t Obama just chop off the secured bond holders in the Chrysler bankruptcy fiasco? Were these also risk-free assets? It is hard to believe that Coat Hanger Nancy has not been excommunicated by the Pope. She has the gall to instruct the Pope on abortion?[11] What a parasite and a blight upon America.

Our federal elected officials parasites must have learned politics from California[12] as the once Golden State is turning brown in a storm of bad debt and default. Sloth, sodomy and drugs—the old liberal recipe for success.

Where do we get these cretins? How much are these losers in Washington going to cost us?

Our Economy is Collapsing. The Liberals will Now Institute Some Kind of Neo- Fascism or Socialism or Some New Blend to Maintain Power.

Our Economy is Collapsing. The Liberals will Now Institute Some Kind of Neo- Fascism or Socialism or Some New Blend to Maintain Power.

Despite numerous warnings and other signs, our economy is slowly collapsing and the liberals just plod onward in their greedy quest for bigger government, higher taxes and more power. [1][2][3] Our federal government is slithering down the same latrine as California[4][5][6]—heading for bankruptcy. They can do nothing more than tax and spend thus they share the same mentality and outlook as those in Sacramento although they cannot print money yet. They can issue IOUs. Both governments refuse to cut anything. Those who stooge for liberals (like Paul Krugman) drone on and on about higher and higher taxes and nationalization of banks and socialized medicine and more government control of everything.[7][8]  Such allied political groups may soon be incorporated into something resembling an amalgam of the New Fascists, Marxists, Leninists and the New Socialists and perhaps other oddities yet to be invented. All this is beginning to look like an opportunity to grab wealth and power by the left using a fusion of Fascist and socialist political systems. The left apparently want to carve out some new, vast and all-powerful government from the chaos of depression and inflation. Their lust for power is unquenchable. They are driving us into that maelstrom.

Debt

We are busted. Our debt levels are so high that even the Chinese complain about the stability of our currency.[9] People cannot seem to think about GM in anything but political terms. GM had lost a total of $80 bln dollars and to make that up with a 10% profit they would have to sell $800 bln dollars in cars, more than the current bailout. $800 bln dollars in autos would mean 20 million cars at $40,000 per car or in they can only make 1% then that would require a sale of 200,000,000 cars. GM expects $50 bln in bailouts for the first round[10] as some of their models are shut down and their market share drops below 19% of the auto market in the US. In the Chrysler bankruptcy Obama called the bond holders ‘speculators’ and forced the bankruptcy judge to give away this secured debt to the unions [political allies] and some  obscure Italian carmaker who makes lousy cars. Thus, the federal government adjudicates debt and equity allocations and shifts ownership of assets to political allies.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, poorly run historically by government people and their friends, hold half the nation’s mortgages for a sum of about$ 3.19 trillion dollars, much of that in worthless toxic assets and defaults rose from %1.3 to % 3.68. They will need a bailout.

Our net worth is down to some $57 trillion dollars and the combined national debt, Social Security, the national and foreign debt and Medicare now project spending of are now projected to be about $54 trillion dollars. That is broke.  By 2011 48% of all US homeowners will have negative equity in their homes thus erasing any credit from that asset.[11]

Incoherent Spending and Tax Lust

Idiots[12] in California[13] now run a 26% budget deficit[14] and with some accounting tricks and moans they can borrow and put off payments for a while and rob the cities of their scarce cash and what happens next year? They will have another such deficit!

Every trillion spent is a new tax liability for those who work and pay taxes [only about half of the work force pays federal income taxes] of $16,000 per trillion owed on average. [15] There is no way workers can pay this back in 20 years as the total of all debts now exceeds $600,000 per taxpayer above the median.  The 2009 Obama deficit will soar beyond $2.87 trillion as it now stands.[16]  That is more than $45,000 in new debt this year alone per taxpayer who pays taxes. We now have 34 million or %11 of the population on food stamps. About 5 million illegal aliens [this exact number is disputed] have subprime mortgages[17] and many are in default. They can vote in many states but do not file federal or state tax returns. Citibank was accepting tax ID numbers instead of Social Security numbers. [18]

Our tax revenues are sinking fast:

The numbers could hardly be more stark: Tax receipts are on pace to drop 18 percent this year, the biggest single-year decline since the Great Depression, while the federal deficit balloons to a record $1.8 trillion.[19] – AP Enterprise: Federal tax revenues plummeting By Stephen Ohlemacher, Associated Press Writer  Mon Aug 3 [Emphasis is mine in all quotes

unless specifically indicated as in the original.]

The last time the government's revenues were this bleak, the year was 1932 in the midst of the Depression.”-- By Stephen Ohlemacher, AP  Mon Aug 3, 2009

Is there a way out of the financial mess?

A key factor is the economy's health. The future of current programs — not to mention the new ones Obama is proposing — will depend largely on how fast the economy recovers from the recession, said William Gale, co-director of the Tax Policy Center.”-- By Stephen Ohlemacher, AP  Mon Aug 3, 2009

President Barack Obama has said he wants to tackle Social Security next year, after he clears an already crowded agenda that includes overhauling health care, addressing climate change and imposing new regulations on financial companies.”-- By Stephen Ohlemacher, AP  Mon Aug 3, 2009

Well, there are no examples of the government “streamlining a federal program” or “saving money” if we examine the histories of education, Head Start, welfare, Amtrak, Social Security, Medicare, the Postal Service and the military. Can some of us recall the War on Poverty, Great Society, HUD, and some other failures? What happened to their promises on those? They have NEVER been able to cut out waste and inefficiency because they refuse to fire incompetents. Amtrak, established in 1970 has never made a profit in a single year to date.

And in a sinking economy they talk not of cutting but taxing and spending more:

Rep. Richard Neal, D-Mass., chairman of the House subcommittee that oversees fuel taxes, is working on a package to make the fund more self-sufficient. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which doesn't back many tax increases, supports increasing the federal gasoline tax, currently 18.4 cents per gallon.”-- By Stephen Ohlemacher, AP  Mon Aug 3, 2009

They now expect to add in Cap and Trade energy taxes that will increase costs everywhere in the US. The proposed Cap and Trade taxes would be world wide.[20] Some even call for a second ‘stimulus’ even thought the first one did nothing we can see as yet.[21]

Power from Chaos

This is really insane: they either think they can spend their way out of this mess OR they think they can make out politically from a complete collapse of our economy and that is what looks to be the case in Washington.  That would require a new form of authoritarian government and that would be some blend of Fascism or Neo-Fascism in this case and socialism or Leninism.

Fascism was invented by Benito Mussolini who was editor of the biggest socialist newspaper in Italy and he states quite clearly in his autobiography[22] that he hated capitalists. Hitler ranted on about capitalists but was forced to make a deal with the Junkers for money to finance his political campaign.  The old definitions of Marxism, socialism and Fascism are too rigid to describe what is happening. We need to select parts and pieces of each system and fit them into a new puzzle to describe what is going on the US today.  Racism, as usual, plays a dominant role in leftist politics. [23] The only people now remaining on the trueright’ are the followers of William F. Buckley, Jr., Ronald Reagan, Michael Savage[24], Mark Levine[25] and Rush Limbaugh[26] among several others. None of these persons ever wanted or even suggested bigger government or any ‘socialized’ government ‘program’ of any kind  and stated this negative position against the left  loudly and clearly for decades. Their calls for tax cuts infuriated the left because all they have or can get derive from taxpayers, business owners or landowners or salaried workers above the median income. The left cannot be forced to believe that tax cuts encourage economic growth. They view tax cuts as an expense. Except for a growing number of Americans who sense that things are not going well and that the obvious promises of President Obama have not been fulfilled, the Democrats have full power to do anything they want and they clearly want more power. We have to worry how this new system might act if we have some more financial crises. A major crisis might perturb the food supply or transportation ‘or energy supply  and cause a panic.

Here, in this new blend of socialism and control of business—similar to the People’s Republic system that mixes totalitarianism with 16th century mercantilism—the government would control business by takeovers and replacing management along with canceling equities and nullifying bonds and nationalize only the banks and other selected businesses. Bond holders[27] in the auto industry were recently deemed “speculators” [read greedy] by Obama.[28] Perhaps stock holders and pension funds that buy bonds are “speculators.”  Are homeowners with paid-up mortgages “greedy?” It appears that anybody with assets is a target of the left. Maxine Waters[29] threatened to nationalize [socialize in her words] the oil companies[30]during one of her tirades.

The association with the process where government directly runs businesses is old hat in modern terms and there is no reason to match the new Neo-Fascism with the right wing. Socialism strictly requires[31] that the government controls state-owned and tolerates private businesses and controls access to such services and products but that never works. Marxism is much worse. What I see is a new symbiotic relationship between socialism and Fascism, both elements of the left—not the right—to form a new system. For clarity, the Nazi party was far left and was called The National Socialist German Workers' Party (German:  Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei , abbreviated NSDAP), commonly known in English as the Nazi Party.[32] What Hitler got in a democratic procedure  was an enabling act that gave him permanent powers very similar to what Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner attained by law and who has unlimited powers to print money and restructure banks  and who knows what in our economy without any interference or opposition from the courts or anybody else. Think about this. Did Hitler have this much power?

The path forward put forth by Congress and the White House is so brainless that I now believe that the ‘plan’ is to let the economy go down in flames by printing money as fast as they can so that our bank accounts will become worthless. Then the government can step in and declare capitalism a failure, ‘restore order’ and seize tangible assets to later be ‘spread around’ for the ‘poor’ and the dream of redistribution of wealth by the rabid left will become a reality. Greedy speculators and bond holders and those who are debt free thus become of enemy of the New State and their holdings such as 401(k)s, homes and businesses might be subject to seizure. This is what the Bolsheviks did in 1918-1919 and what they tried to do in Germany, Spain and Italy.  It is interesting that Bolshevism was halted by an internal squabble among leftists.  There is no such division among those players now.

We have major problems approaching and very soon. It is becoming more difficult to believe we can trust our government. They want to pass laws before the elected representatives have had the opportunity to read the legislation.

[11]NEW YORK (Reuters) – The percentage of U.S. homeowners who owe more than their house is worth will nearly double to 48 percent in 2011 from 26 percent at the end of March, portending another blow to the housing market, Deutsche Bank said on Wednesday.

Home price declines will have their biggest impact on prime "conforming" loans that meet underwriting and size guidelines of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the bank said in a report. Prime conforming loans make up two-thirds of mortgages, and are typically less risky because of stringent requirements.” http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20090805/bs_nm/us_usa_housing_deutschebank

From an edited  previous blog: “Only half of the 130 million workers in the US pay taxes so a trillion dollars winds up to be $16,000 in tax liability for each worker who pays taxes. [15] Note that 20 trillion in debt becomes $320,000 in tax liability per worker who makes over $50,000. That means that the total equity [and more] of the homes of the average worker is in jeopardy.  The only people who can pay high taxes are those with wealth and property and they will be asked, or forced, to pay for most the new spending, debt service and new social programs. This debt is so large that it impacts the 401(k)s now so popular since Social Security is a grim  joke. The temptation by government is to seize the 401(k)s and blend this money into some federal retirement system patterned along the same lines as the USSR plan. All that wealth vanished in inflation by 1990.” [15]

The National Council of La Raza and its Development Fund have received millions in federal funds to "counsel" their constituents on obtaining mortgages with little to no money down; the group almost succeeded in attaching a $10 million earmark for itself in one of the housing bills passed this spring.” http://www.nypost.com/seven/09242008/postopinion/opedcolumnists/illegal_aliens__the_mortgage_mess_130482.htm

The Old Red Lady of the Old Gray Lady Comments on Losers: Clinton and Kim

The Old Red Lady of the Old Gray Lady Comments on Losers: Clinton and Kim

Abstract: Maureen Dowd acts as if she has inside information on what North Korea has received or is owed for this recent generous act of getting rid of two political thorns in Kim’s backside. Bill Clinton has apparently secured some kind of diplomatic miracle with Kim despite Hillary’s nasty comments just a few weeks ago.  The price for this was a few hours with an unsmiling Billy? Dowd appears to manufacture or conceal inside information from the rest of the world in this article.  What was the payment? We need to wait and see what Kim does with his weapons programs and how he interacts with his neighbors in Asia. Bill Clinton deals in bribes, ideological racism and raw sex—none of which might interest Kim in either his present condition or his past. Dowd blows bubbles into the wind this time.

We are always entertained by the scribblings that appear like truck-stop restroom hieroglyphics in the NYT—aka the Walter Duranty Papers[1]-- as they attempt to ‘form public opinion.’ Or, as they heap the pyres with synthetic praise for the antics of their far left benefactors--their ideological partners in Congress—by endorsing new and sweeping changes that ultimately lead to socialism, inflation, debt and the loss of our Constitutional Rights.  In a previous screed[2] she savagely bit into the image of Sarah Palin and demonstrated how much venom she can extrude in one episode on her keyboard. She mellows today.

But, today, we are treated to an unusual  critical analysis of the magical works of Bill Clinton and his little stage puppet in North Korea by the Old Red Lady[3][4][5] of the Old Gray Lady[6] [Dah Dowdy Dowd]. [7] Aside: [Does Maureen cook her hair in the microwave??[8] Where does that color come from? As a chemist, I know that some chemicals that color can eat through glass, flesh and concrete. [9] Oh well, some mysteries of the universe are too frightening to understand in detail.]

Dowd is no fan of Slick Willie as she was one of the first of the far left to dump on him in his first term.  She called Hillary “Godzilla” and Obama was “Obambi.”[10] Maureen has certain journalistic freedoms that are unusual and praiseworthy in the halls of the New York Times. Unlike others who whose intellectual sandals are mired in congealed leftist drool, or other bodily emissions, she stands above and apart from  pedestrian-grade chum-chuckers like Frank-the Crank[11][12] or the protosimian racist Herbert[13]or even the Babbling Brooks, an imaginary token of the right. [14] Today she exercises her wide literary freedom and resumes her legendary attack on Clintoonery.[15]

Launching off with spite and venom:

When I look at the incorrigible Kim Jong-il, an insult hurled by the incomparable Billy Wilder comes to mind… Wilder announced: “That man should go hang himself from a bonsai tree.”

The diminutive North Korean leader has been known to use lifts in his shoes. This time, he demanded some special stature in the form of a diplomatic cameo by our top diplomat’s husband.”[16]--Let the Big Dog Run By Maureen Dowd Op-Ed Columnist Published: August 4, 2009 [Emphasis is mine in all quotes unless specifically indicated as in the original.]

Some in her camp would automatically praise Kim as they did Pol Pot and Fidel Castro, but times change.

The price set by Kim for releasing the two captured American journalists, Laura Ling and Euna Lee, was a few hours basking in the presence of the ex-president who most wanted to visit North Korea. Bill Clinton was willing to bow but not scrape.”-- By Maureen Dowd August 4, 2009

Really?

With some literary license our Old Red Lady seems to be in receipt of information unavailable to the rest of us. Billy had time for several North Korean-instigated sexual escapades in the weeks of preparation time before this circus performance and we can only guess that he has more favors coming from the hapless Kim. But, maybe Maureen has a spy inside Bill’s group of groupies.

It was a moment unique in the annals[sic[17]] of diplomacy. Bill was being hailed as a dazzling statesman [sans cigar this time we think ed] who might have changed the stormy weather between the U.S. and North Korea, just as Hillary was beginning an 11-day trip to Africa designed to highlight the subjects she most cares about: do-gooder development and women’s issues.”-- By Maureen Dowd August 4, 2009

Is Kim that frantic? Billy has been bought for very little such as a small sack of soiled bills at Tea Time in the White House. We can only wonder what Kim has offered him.

Spite:

It’s fun to speculate whether Bill and Kim discussed the exchange of insults with Hillary. (North Korea issued a jibe back that Hillary was “a funny lady” and that “sometimes she looks like a primary schoolgirl and sometimes a pensioner going shopping.”-- By Maureen Dowd August 4, 2009

Well, give us your speculations! You usually do. Oh! Next paragraph.

Bill Clinton will bring back valuable information [??] about Kim’s mental and physical health. If we’d had that sort of information about the snubbed Saddam, we would have known that he was in his own spiral of doom, trying to bluff his neighbors, with no need for our shock and awe.

Hillary and President Obama look bigger when they share the stage with other talented players. And Barack and Bill may have finally started to put South Carolina behind them — without the need for a beer summit photo-op.”-- By Maureen Dowd August 4, 2009

This hokum sticks to the very walls and prompts us to wonder how this will turn out.  The invasion of Kuwait and the war with Iran were not exactly bluffs, but this paper deals in revisionism so we must accept this comment. In the Obama political theater we need for Kim to get back to 6-party talks on his nuclear program in the midst of this new Era of Leftist Fascism.[18] Kim needs to offer the world some more lies before he expires and make false promises that he will allow inspectors to peruse his nuclear weapons programs again. This will buy his regime time and the opportunity to troll for alms. This is a very big payment, if it happens, on something else. We can only wonder if Kim was promised a lot of money, since we are printing tons of the stuff.

The oblique comment about “South Carolina” and “need for a beer summit” just stokes the fires of racism so essential to the future of the Obama and the NYT.  The notion that Bill can be compensated for his wife’s presidential campaign loss and personal loss of $11 million dollars and the waste of $250,000,000 dollars of loyal leftist contributions with some photos with the fragile Kim is a joke.  The notion that Obama can forget the overt racism Bill displayed for this gesture  in South Carolina is a bigger joke.

Kim is too smart to just give up two wandering fruit loops who stooge for Al Gore[19] for just a mere photo-op and some kimchi at a dinner with Billy. He will get much more for this little intermezzo or we have to lower our expectations of Kim. We can only wonder what it will be but the Obama Reverence for Marxism has to be considered.

And a final question here: Who is the Big Dog in this piece? Kim or Clinton??

Racism and the “Out of Context Excuse” from the White House. Lies Compounded with More Lies—the Old Democrat Way.

Racism and the “Out of Context Excuse” from the White House.  Lies Compounded with More Lies—the Old Democrat Way.

Abstract:  We all know that Obama is an ideological racist.[1] We know that he lied about his intention of a single-payer system [read socialized medicine] in the past.[2] We know that Obama reacted in a racist –knee-jerk manner over the Gates Affair.[3] We know he received his 20 year Associate Racists Degree from Jeremiah Wright. Now, there is an attempt to redact history emanating like some colonic effluvium from the White House.

From my previous comments:

“An analysis of what Obama was and what he is now is becoming disturbing. His background, what we can learn of it, is that of a dexterously crafted caricature of an elitist that was groomed to be a reflection of some plastic political reflection of ‘change.’ He was indoctrinated into fashionable Neo-Marxism by some of the best fellow travelers and was taught how to be an ideological racist while avoiding the obvious appearance of a race baiter like Al Sharpton or Louis Farrakhan. He was mesmerized by Jeremiah Wright for 20 years. He is slick in that instance.  What he turns out to be, so far, is a bungling stooge whose control of his party and his mouth is metamorphosing into a sad joke.  We can seriously now question his ability to lead anything given what he has shown us and who he selected for his staff. “[4]—rycK 8.03.09

Now, when confronted with video sound bites of his own words the White House freaks and declares that his comments were ‘taken out of context.”[5] This ‘rebuttal’ comes from Linda Douglass, who supposedly has an email address of flag@whitehouse.gov, which doesn’t exist.

This response is so crude it deserves praiseworthy mention and an accusation of probable thinking by the New York Times—aka the Walter Duranty Papers, authorities on disinformation, propaganda pieces[6][7][8][9] and other matters. [10]

" I don’t think we’re going to be able to eliminate employer coverage immediately. There’s going to be, potentially, some transition process: I can envision a decade out, or 15 years out, or 20 years out.”

Others , lie at the Observation Desk[11]saw this and recorded the transcript:

The video begins with a clip of President Obama, speaking at the AMA in June 2009, addressing an "illegitimate concern" by people who claim "a public option is somehow a Trojan horse for a single-payer system."

In the next clip, circa 2007, Senator Obama states "my commandment is to make sure we
have universal health care for all Americans by the end of my first term...but I don't think we're going to be able to eliminate employer coverage immediately..."

The then-Senator Obama addresses the
AFL-CIO's Civil, Human and Women's Rights Conference in 2003. Obama said "I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer, universal health care plan...that's what I'd like to see."[12]

A full text:

I happen to be a proponent of a single payer universal health care program. I see no reason why the United States of America, the wealthiest country in the history of the world, spending 14 percent of its Gross National Product on health care cannot provide basic health insurance to everybody. And that’s what Jim is talking about when he says everybody in, nobody out. A single payer health care plan, a universal health care plan. And that’s what I’d like to see. But as all of you know, we may not get there immediately. Because first we have to take back the White House, we have to take back the Senate, and we have to take back the House.”[13]

It is difficult to get around all this evidence that Obama, in stealth if necessary, has been for socialized medicine for a long time, which fits his left-liberal and radial profile.

He is a liar and his stooges at the White House are in full damage control and will say or do anything.

This is such a joke. But, then, these are liberals.

Rewarding Bad Actors by More Bad Actors and Higher Taxes: A Krugman Gem

Rewarding Bad Actors by More Bad Actors and Higher Taxes: A Krugman Gem

Abstract: Krugman of the New York Times maintains his reputation by focusing only on higher taxes and more regulations or ‘rules’ from government.  He offers anecdotes with condemnations on speculation and big profits but seems to ignore the salient fact that many liberals also make big bucks too.  He ignores that salient fact that many liberals make huge profits and escape target taxes.

The assembly of propaganda pieces[1][2][3][4][5] and other blends of disinformation are designed to sway the reader with some guarantee of money, justice or, more appropriately: the notion that justice will claw-back some of the ill-gotten money or hides of evil doers and capitalists.  Victims must be identified, praised and the wrongdoers punished, at best, with higher taxes or more legislation.

Today, for our amusement, our esteemed non-economist from the New York Times, who is known affectionately as Dr. Paul Krugman of the Walter Duranty Papers,[6] squeezes off another propagandistic offalette[7] sanctioning the enduring confiscation of more private loot by suggesting that we truncate remuneration  in the investment banks, or what is left of them, on Wall Street.

To wit:

Americans are angry at Wall Street, and rightly so. First the financial industry plunged us into economic crisis, then it was bailed out at taxpayer expense. And now, with the economy still deeply depressed, the industry is paying itself gigantic bonuses. If you aren’t outraged, you haven’t been paying attention.[8]-- Rewarding Bad Actors By Paul Krugman Op-Ed Columnist Published: August 2, 2009 [Emphasis is mine in all quotes.]

Could we recall that Franklin Raines too away gigantic bonuses after cooking the books at Fannie Mae and was not condemned for this by the NTY or investigated, rewarded with some unknown function in the Obama election committee and received only praise from Maxine Waters?

Krugman appears to be blissfully unaware that the CRA [the phony Community Communist Reinvestment Act][9][10]  forced banks to lend out money at a loss and that this contributed to the collapse of the credit markets. The phony mortgages were bundled and sold as ‘investments.’ Fanny Mae was the toilet where bad loans could be flushed and Franklin Raines[11] made a cool $90,000,000 dollars off this scam. Oh, he is black and works for Obama? Oh, yes. Is Raines a fat cat under your definition Paul? This was all a vision of Greenlining.[12]

Maxine at her very best:

Maxine Waters: "We do not have a crisis at Freddie Mac and particularly Fannie Mae under the outstanding leadership of Frank Raines."—[comment  by Waters during a hearing in 2004 ] http://blog.beliefnet.com/reformedchicksblabbing/2008/09/maxine-waters-we-do-not-have-a.html Monday September 29, 2008 [Note the video showing Maxine was removed under threat of legal action.] Too bad the media has to be so crass as to filter out stuff like this.

Maxine at her second best:

This liberal will be all about socializing….ah ah ….ah …taking over…….government running all of your companies…. ah … ah. ..[13][14]—Maxine Waters on stage in a video.[15]

We wonder how Krugman might sanction this criminal action and justify the huge bonus for Raines?

Two pointless Krugmaniacal anecdotists follow on the issue of “profits from high-frequency trading” and “speculates on oil and other commodities.”

yadda yadda yadda”-- Rewarding Bad Actors By Paul Krugman

Could we wonder where we could have lost Krugman’s reference to George Soros here and comments in his currency speculations?? Did he try to sink the British pound? Oh! His actions do not belong in this article about greed and high profits and speculation! I understand.

Oh! This must be it:

Just to be clear: financial speculation can serve a useful purpose. It’s good, for example, that futures markets provide an incentive to stockpile heating oil before the weather gets cold and stockpile gasoline ahead of the summer driving season.”-- Rewarding Bad Actors By Paul Krugman

And what can we predict Krugman will advise as a ‘solution’ to these ills?

What should be done? Last week the House passed a bill setting rules for pay packages at a wide range of financial institutions. That would be a step in the right direction. But it really should be accompanied by much broader regulation of financial practices — and, I would argue, by higher tax rates on supersized incomes.”-- Rewarding Bad Actors By Paul Krugman

Does this theme bypass Warren Buffett and George Soros?? I think it does. These are ‘friends of the left’ thus immune to abuse or condemnation or targeted taxes.

Neither the administration, nor our political system in general, is ready to face up to the fact that we’ve become a society in which the big bucks go to bad actors, a society that lavishly rewards those who make us poorer.”-- Rewarding Bad Actors By Paul Krugman

This last sentence references a routine propagandistic turn-of-the-crank message alluding to the zero-sum theory where those whose assets are above the median must have gotten them unfairly. How many starve in Africa because Oprah or Michael Jackson or Barbara Streisand or made 100-+250 million per year or so?? How many starved in America when Joe Kennedy ran booze during the depression and made millions while escaping taxes and justice?

Krugman fails to mention that many traders in the speculative world have low salaries or work on a contract basis and will get little or nothing if they don’t perform and deliver high profits. Strangely, the NFL and NBA, hookers on 8th Avenue, fisherman and most lawyers operate in a similar manner.  The illogic of selecting certain careers and blandishing them with selected social abuse labels fails to demonstrate to us a level playing field and undermines the notion of a progressive tax for all.

The underlying message here is that the ‘enemies of liberalism’ require a punitive tax and that ‘friends of liberalism’ may continue making millions in the meanwhile.

[9]Bear Stearns made the first public securitization of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) loans started in 1997.[6] Editorialists in some American newspapers[7][8] and US Congressman Ron Paul[9] say the CRA loans were lent to otherwise un-credit-worthy consumers in the name of ending discrimination, although an analysis of actual lending patterns does not generally support this conclusion.[10][11][12]

This comment on Herbert was submitted and was summarily ‘moderated’ by the New York Times

On Herbert and his columns:

Justifiable Anger and Racist Police Actions Duly Explained by the NYT http://rycksrationalizations.blogtownhall.com/2009/08/01/justifiable_anger_and_racist_police_actions_duly_explained_by_the_nyt.thtml

The ideological racism machines grinds on at the NYT where the purity and innocence of Afro-Americans, not to mention their manifold social problems, such as crime, are bathed in vast pools of excuses. Whites are guilty again. Even in cities where whites have had little control of anything, like New Orleans, we must always seek new excuses for the exercise of reverse racism and blame whites for the failure of leftist government.

Murder in the Cities: The Triumph of Liberalism. http://rycksrationalizations.blogtownhall.com/2008/04/12/murder_in_the_cities_the_triumph_of_liberalism.thtml

Herbert turns an old rusty crank that has produced nothing but more sloth, sodomy, street crime, drug addiction and racial hatred and will continue to do so in the best disinformation traditions of Walter Duranty and other NYT icons. If Gates had been civil instead of launching off in rage the matter would have ended there. Gates is just what we expect from an AA graduate: too noisy, lacking any identifiable intellectual credentials, undignified and prone to howl before thinking. This is now a mere propaganda exercise for the NYT. The Party of Democrats cannot survive without 90% black votes and it is the solemn duty of the NYT to keep the race pots boiling as Mayor LaGuardia mentioned decades ago.

Herbert and Rich fan the fires as often as they can.

This is good city politics.

UNCOVERED VIDEO: OBAMA EXPLAINS HOW HIS HEALTH CARE PLAN WILL ‘ELIMINATE’ PRIVATE INSURANCE

http://www.breitbart.tv/uncovered-video-obama-explains-how-his-health-care-plan-will-eliminate-private-insurance/

From my previous comments:

An analysis of what Obama was and what he is now is becoming disturbing. “[1]

So, we have a sophist and an ideological racist who was politically  fine-tuned by Jeremiah Wright and launches into the xenophobic clouds on matters of race[2] e.g.-- howled that the police acted ‘stupidly’ without any evidence or accurate information in the Gates Crisis--has wild support from Africa, the welfare rights crowd, certain terrorist groups like the Black Panthers, the prison guests, the unions, most of the Middle East and Europe  and who, we observe,  has no experience other than 160 days as a ‘senator’ and has his little finger on some 50 trillion dollars in assets and wants to ‘spread it around.[3]

I call for his impeachment for blatant lies to the public

There is No Tax Bottom to George Stephanopoulos’ ‘Bottom Line’ Other than his Bottom

There is No Tax Bottom to George Stephanopoulos’ ‘Bottom Line’ Other than his Bottom

Abstract: We are hopelessly in debt and our government can do no more than raise taxes and print money. The amount of debt we owe as average citizens is way beyond our ability to repay. Our government lies to us about this and is monetizing the debt [printing money to pay interest and principal on our current debt] and will now tax everything they can. Inflation will roar and our economy will collapse and our government CANNOT find a single place to make spending cuts. Not a solitary place. The end is in sight. Inflation will wipe out our savings and wipe out 25% of all jobs in the US while illegal aliens get free healthcare.

Appeasement is best acted out in political matters such as mimicking the part of the drooling peasant cautiously approaching the king’s carriage and who said in some movie: ”Pardon me , governor, for fouling the air you breath, sire..[or words to that effect]” while twisting his hat with his unwashed fingers in reverence and advanced obsequiousness in the presence of his superiors.

Little “Steffi[1]  has learned his lesson since making a comment, for money, in his book about his prior benefactor Bill Clinton: “…a complicated man responding to the pressures and pleasures of public life in ways I found both awesome and appalling."[2] Steffi is now in the nonreporting business and spends much time filtering out the firm information during interviews with leftist politicians and their familiars.

An example of wasting bandwidth in the ether for no gain comes from a recent interview with our elfin tax cheat Little Timmy Geithner:[3]

Steffi axes:

To get the economy back on track, will President Barack Obama have to break his pledge not to raise taxes on 95 percent of Americans? In a “This Week” exclusive, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner told me, "We’re going to have to do what’s necessary.””[4]-- Geithner Won’t Rule Out New Taxes for Middle Class By George Stephanopoulos August 02, 2009 8:02 AM George's Bottom Line Reporting and analysis from ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent and "This Week" Host George Stephanopoulos [Emphasis is mine in all quotes.]

I thought that Bill Clinton ran on a ‘middle class tax break’ in his first round. Gee, what happened to that?[5]

Well, let’s probe this bottom and find out if there is any substance emerging anywhere:

We will not get this economy back on track, recovery will be not strong and sustained, unless we convince the American people that we are going to have the will to bring these deficits down once recovery is firmly established,” he said.”-- George Stephanopoulos August 02, 2009

Gee, how about some spending cuts??

Note: the words ‘spending’ and ‘cut’ do not appear anywhere in this ’interview’ but do appear in the detailed transcript.[6]

"We do not plan to ask for more money and I think it’s quite unlikely that we do," Geithner said in his most blunt language to date on TARP funding. The secretary said that today the TARP has roughly $130 billion, in part due to more than $70 billion that has already come back into the government.”-- George Stephanopoulos August 02, 2009

Did Steffi bother to axe Timmy if the TARP monies paid back would be recycled as more spending? No.

From the transcript:

STEPHANOPOULOS: Have you created a bottom?

GEITHNER: But I think we have a ways to go,. I want to emphasize the basic reality still that unemployment is very high in this country. We need to make Americans more confident about their future.”-- George Stephanopoulos August 02, 2009

GEITHNER: George it is absolutely right and very important for everyone to understand we will not get this economy back on track, recovery will not be strong enough to sustain unless we can convince the American people that we're going to have the will to bring these deficits down once recovery is firmly established. Remember we inherited a 1 point three trillion dollar deficit. The cumulative consequences of the policies this country pursued over the last 8 years left us with 6 million [billion or trillion?? ed]dollars of more debt than we would have had by making a bunch of commitments to cut taxes and add to spending without paying for those. We are not going to be able to afford to do that. And it is very important that people understand that. Our first priority now though is to get this economy back on track, make sure this financial system is repaired. Without that, we're not going to get our deficits under control and the necessary path to fiscal responsibility, the necessary path to getting this country living within our means again is not just health care reform, to bring down those costs, but we're going to a range of other things and that's going to be a very difficult challenge for this country. We can do this, it just requires the will to act.

A pause to reflect on the past:

This debt thing is hooey. Consulting these CBO tables[7] in this link and taking into account that Nancy Pelosi controlled spending in the last two years of the Bush era, for about 600 bln dollars [$615.5 bln], we find a total of $2.7 trillion dollars attributed to George Bush according to CBO. Continuing on here:

Top of Form

Bottom of Form

STEPHANOPOULOS: Including new revenues?

GEITHNER: Well, we're going to have to look at – we're going to have to do what's necessary. Remember the critical thing is people understand that when we have recovery established, led by the private sector, then we have to bring these deficits down very dramatically. We have to bring them down to a level where the amount we're borrowing from the world is stable at a reasonable level. And that's going to require some very hard choices. And we're going to have to do that in a way that does not add unfairly to the burdens that the average American already faces.

STEPHANOPOULOS: But that's the dilemma, isn't it?

GEITHNER: That is the dilemma.”-- George Stephanopoulos August 02`, 2009

This is politico babble at its finest. The Little One squirrels around in the butts for the nuts but cannot seem to get the notion of tax increases out in the open. There is no dilemma here—they want tax hikes and cannot mention the T Word in public.

What happened here is that Bush and the Dems, together, spent us into debt so deep that we now cannot crawl out. If we raise a mere trillion dollars in taxes to take away just about ½ of the projected 2009 Obama deficit of $1.5 trillion [it will certainly be bigger] we would bust the economy. There is no fix here.

The average citizen does not realize that ONLY taxpayers pay back the interest and principal on the debts and that ½ of them do not pay much in federal taxes. That leaves about only 60 million taxpayers to pay back $16,000 per trillion owed on average. [9]

How would you like to pay for this when we add in the current national debt of 12 trillion?? Let us see, that is 12+$2.87 bln so that rings out at just under $15 trillion dollars. That is a mere 15 x 16,000 or $240,000 per taxpayer who pays federal taxes plus interest. Gee, in 10 years you would only pay off the debt, not counting interest at $2,000 per month! How does that sound? In Oregon, the tax maggotry arena of the US for the moment [until New York goes completely down like California] we have a 57% tax bracket that includes state, federal and other taxes. [10] In Oregon, the average earnings for a family of four is $61,945.[11] [or $5,162 a month] so a 57% tax rate brings this down to something like [ignoring deductions for a moment] to $26,636.35 [or $2,219.70  per month] in disposal income but we can allow for some deductions to make things fair, but now what do we do about the additional $24,000 to pay off the debt in 10 years. Ooops.

Why not try to pay off the debt in, say, 100 years and get the payments down to $240 per month with interest. Let’s ask the Chinese about this. With interest this might be $1000 per month.

Oh, but did we figger in Social Security and Medicare costs and debt? Oh, we forgot. Let us see—the combined debt is only 54 trillion but most workers will pay for that so the tab is only about $8,000 per trillion per taxpayer or, gee, 8 x 54 or $432,000 for each worker.  If we do the 10 year trick above [and this is a big trick] we get about $43,000 per year ignoring interest [why make this too painful?] and that works out to about $3,500 more per month.

Well, that does not work out too well. It seems we need to push this debt past 10 years so can escape a tax rate of more than 100%. But, long term loans have a lot of interest to pay.

So, for a Oregon family of 4 making $5,162 a month we can take $432,000 for SS and Medicaid and $240,000 for the national debt, adding up to $662,000 and push that out 100 years for only $6,620  per year or about $500 per month not including interest, which would be about $2,000 per month on a 100 year loan. That gets our family down to $5,162 a month - $2500 –for the 57% tax bracket of $2,219.70   or $5,162 minus $2,500 and also minus 2,219.70 for a grand total of $442.30 per month to live on. That is an effective tax rate of only 91%.

They don’t like 100 year loans but they do give 50 year calculations on the internet. [12]

For a 50 year loan at only 3% [a bargain!!] for $662,000 has only 600 payments of $2,131.49 for a total of $1,278,894.62 and will be cleared in July 2059. That helps a lot because it gives the home owner $2219-$2139 for 80$ per month.  That breaks the $500 per month limit by $12!!

But at 10% inflation:

Your payment is now $5,554.88 per month before Oregon state and federal taxes. That leaves you short -$392.88. You could sell your car or cut lawns.

But, we would have to have a balanced budget to keep the tax rate going over 100% would we not??

Let us hear from the Sage of Omaha and China  on this from a previous blog[13]:

Here is what the Chinese say:

“Mr Luo, whose English tends toward the colloquial, added: “We hate you guys. Once you start issuing $1 trillion-$2 trillion [$1,000bn-$2,000bn] . . .we know the dollar is going to depreciate, so we hate you guys but there is nothing much we can do.””[14]—wild rant by Luo Ping, a director-general at the China Banking Regulatory Commission [Emphasis is mine in all quotes.]

I thought the haters were only on the capitalist right wing—not in the Marxist camp that provides the vision for left-liberalism.  Here is a salient bit from the Brits:

It is unclear why US bond yields have spiked so violently, with spill-over effects on gilts and bunds. One camp of investors is worried that inflation is rearing its ugly head again: others fear a sovereign debt crisis as over-extended states loses their AAA ratings."[15]-- Ambrose Evans-Pritchard

And from the Sage of Omaha:

A country that continuously expands its debt as a percentage of GDP and raises much of the money abroad to finance that, at some point, it’s going to inflate its way out of the burden of that debt,” Buffett said….

“Every country that has denominated its debt in its own currency and has found itself with uncomfortable amounts of debt relative to the rest of the world, in the end they inflate,” Buffett explains. That becomes a tax on everybody that has fixed dollar investments.”[16]--Buffett Sees Massive Inflation to Handle Staggering Debt. Monday, May 4, 2009 By Dan Weil [Emphasis is mine in all quotes]

Gee, isn’t this swell. But, we can take the Obama Solution and raise our taxes and tax our way out of debt and into prosperity.

And this morning:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama's treasury secretary said Sunday he cannot rule out higher taxes to help tame an exploding budget deficit, and his chief economic adviser would not dismiss raising them on middle-class Americans as part of a health care overhaul.”-- 2 Obama administration officials can't guarantee middle-class Americans won't see tax hike By Philip Elliott, Associated Press Writer On Sunday August 2, 2009, 9:24 pm ED[Emphasis is mine in all quotes.]

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and National Economic Council Director Larry Summers both sidestepped questions on Obama's intentions about taxes. Geithner said the White House was not ready to rule out a tax hike to lower the federal deficit; Summers said Obama's proposed health care overhaul needs funding from somewhere.”-- By Philip Elliott

So, in the midst of a depression they are going to raise taxes!! Gee, that will be great.  Won’t that help the economy?? Sure!! Let’s spend our way out of debt! Wheeeee!

The End is in Sight. The economy is collapsing. Look into the latrines for the bottom they mention.

From an edited  previous blog: “Only half of the 130 million workers in the US pay taxes so a trillion dollars winds up to be $16,000 in tax liability for each worker who pays taxes. [9] Note that 20 trillion in debt becomes $320,000 in tax liability per worker who makes over $50,000. All that wealth vanished in inflation by 1990.” [9]

[10]Three states meet the 57 percent tax rate mark: Oregon (57.54%), Hawaii (57.22%), and New York (56.9%). At the very top of the list is New York City with a 58.68% top tax rate.” http://neighborhoodeffects.mercatus.org/2009/07/16/state-tax-health/

Justifiable Anger and Racist Police Actions Duly Explained by the NYT

Justifiable Anger and Racist Police Actions Duly Explained by the NYT

We are always excited to study and digest the frenetic political theorizing that is proffered as thinking at the New York Times—aka the Walter Duranty Papers. [1] When any economic or political event transpires, particularly one that can be deftly sculpted to showcase the ever-present racism by the mostly white police, the propaganda machines hum so that the public might be reeducated. Bob Herbert[2][3], whose articles rarely offer any new information and are mostly ignored by this blogger, since they tend to be mechanical and pedestrian in mentality, springs forth as if he has now had some advanced instruction in the proper use of propaganda and wants to show off.  He graduated today! In today’s article in the soon-t0-be-bankrupt Times Herbert reshuffles his authorized stack of soiled clichés and breaks new [to him] journalistic ground as he ‘teaches’ us all about the ‘attitudes’ of the Cambridge police and the civil rights incidents that have rocked the nation.

Herbert begins:

If Professor Gates ranted and raved at the cop who entered his home uninvited with a badge, a gun and an attitude, he didn’t rant and rave for long.[4]--Anger Has Its Place By Bob Herbert Op-Ed Columnist Published: July 31, 2009 from Cambridge, Mass. [Emphasis is mine in all quotes.]

If pigs could fly…………. Notice that Herbert finds some ‘attitude’ problem on the part of the police that is not documented in the police report or given by witnesses. This crass assumption is essential to building his ‘case’ that Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. was clearly innocent with the underlying assumption that he was justified at howling at the police. Perhaps, we might muse, because the cop was white? Well, let us read further.

The charge: angry while black.”-- Bob Herbert July 31, 2009 from Cambridge, Mass.

Another academic opinion should have been used by Herbert to amplify his premise:

All white people are racists.“[5]-University of Delaware.

Actually the charge was disorderly conduct and is defined this way in that state:

You can argue the facts in court, but there's no question that the police report described the misdemeanor offense of "disorderly conduct" under Massachusetts law, which includes engaging in "tumultuous behavior" in "any neighborhood," thereby causing public "inconvenience, annoyance or alarm."[6] How About A National Conversation On Race Hoaxes? By Ann Coulter July 29, 2009

Herbert ignores all this and ignores the police report and the facts by creating a mythical political world where truth is unnecessary and racial politics are steered into a ‘blacks are innocent’ motif by any convenient means.

President Obama is challenged:

The president of the United States has suggested that we use this flare-up as a “teachable moment,” but so far exactly the wrong lessons are being drawn from it — especially for black people. The message that has gone out to the public is that powerful African-American leaders like Mr. Gates and President Obama will be very publicly slapped down for speaking up and speaking out about police misbehavior, and that the proper response if you think you are being unfairly targeted by the police because of your race is to chill.”-- Bob Herbert July 31, 2009 from Cambridge, Mass.

Herbert magically conjures up these demons from the abyss with exactly no facts, but facts are not necessary in a political screed where chum is constantly chucked to the loyals to preserve the Democratic party and their essential black votes. Herbert announces that there is nothing to learn from this  “teachable moment.” Perhaps Herbert is unteachable.

Mr. Gates is a friend, and I was selected some months ago to receive an award from an institute that he runs at Harvard. I made no attempt to speak to him while researching this column.”-- Bob Herbert July 31, 2009 from Cambridge, Mass.

Can any reader find Herbert’s research findings in any of this?? I cannot.

Professor Gates did absolutely nothing wrong. He did not swear at the officer or threaten him. He was never a danger to anyone. At worst, if you believe the police report, he yelled at Sergeant Crowley. He demanded to know if he was being treated the way he was being treated because he was black.”-- Bob Herbert July 31, 2009 from Cambridge, Mass.

Here is the police report:[7] Professor [Do you know who I am???] Gates initially refused to show his ID to the police. That is a crime in itself. He was loud and unruly and that fits the criminal description of disorderly conduct in Cambridge and elsewhere in the civilized world.

Herbert urges:

Black people need to roar out their anger at such treatment, lift up their voices and demand change.”-- Bob Herbert July 31, 2009 from Cambridge, Mass.

Inciting to riot?? Is that a crime?

We’re never going to have a serious national conversation about race.”-- Bob Herbert July 31, 2009 from Cambridge, Mass.

We hear about them all the time.  We read this every day in the New York Times. And Herbert is correct about the legalities of yelling at police:

"Contrary to the city’s [Houston, TX ed] contention, the First Amendment protects a significant amount of verbal criticism and challenge directed at police officers.  'Speech is often provocative and challenging...[But it] is nevertheless protected against censorship or punishment, unless shown likely to produce a clear and present danger of a serious, substantive evil that rises far above public inconvenience, annoyance or unrest." -- Houston v Hill, 482 US 451; 107 S Ct 2502; 96 L Ed 2d 398 (1987) and 482 US at 461.

Herbert rants on:

So that leaves it up to ordinary black Americans to rant and to rave, to demonstrate and to lobby, to march and confront and to sue and generally do whatever is necessary to stop a continuing and deeply racist criminal justice outrage.”-- Bob Herbert July 31, 2009 from Cambridge, Mass.

Somehow, we don’t really see much that is new here. Apparently the cop committed the crime. Herbert howls about the eternal racism and sounds the old stale trumpet and signals a clarion call for action in the streets.  Why not do Watts again? The mentality of such a piece in the NYT is surprisingly not out of line with the rest of this paper’s opinion op-eds. Racism is the very bedrock of the Party of Democrats[8] and without this social element, real or imaginary, they would have little power outside the inner cities, which are filled with black-on-black crime,[9] also probably to be blamed on whites in some manner.

Perhaps a solution to Herbert’s problem from another academic he has not commented on so far in his columns:

A quote by Kamau Kambon “[blacks must]…exterminate white people off the face of the planet.” [10] [The New York Times did not comment on this guy.] This affords a ‘solution’ to the problem of sorts.  Nobody is yelling at Professor Kambon it seems.

Gates is a sour affirmative action candidate who attempts to conform to an academic setting sans the cognitive or social skills to do so. We should wonder what his SAT score was. He is a howler and not a thinker. As such he acts like strange and reveals his character and demeanor with comments like this in this video and the transcript in the footnote:[11]

Gates missed an opportunity to show how modern Democrats feel about whites and Republicans in general:

"[Republicans] can go f--- themselves!" --Rahm Emanuel[12], Barack Obama's Chief of Staff[13]

It has been several decades since attempts were made to educate the wide spectrum of blacks in this country coupled with the use of emergency measures like affirmative action.[14] Sadly, very little progress has been made other than to cement the certainties of racism into a rugged and durable edifice that defies bona fide change. Given the indoctrination, the sorrowful cognitive skills[15] and other marginal attributes of those players like Gates who would speak for black Americans we can expect little in the future.  The NYT thus maintains a careful eye on the racial sty it has nutured and hopes to use this hatred to political advantage.

Maybe another 50 years of affirmative action will be necessary to elevate some of our citizens into the civil middle class outside the city projects where they can get real  jobs and earn a living on their own without so much help.

Maybe not with people like Gates and Herbert.

Kamau Kambon, an author who taught in NCSU's Africana Studies program as recently as last spring, made the comments Oct. 14 during a conference at Howard University in Washington. The conference was televised nationally by C-SPAN, and bloggers picked up on the comments immediately.”

[11] The only reason we have so many people doing so well, the only reason, is because of the civil rights movement and its child, affirmative action. Without affirmative action, we would have never been able to integrate racist historically white institutions in American society. And to me, the first fundamental question that we have to address is how to protect, preserve, and expand affirmative action.

When I went to college, instead of going to Howard like three generations of my family, which is certainly a great thing, I was able to go to
Yale University, because they were trying to diversify themselves. They wanted a class that looked more like America. They let in women for the first time. They let in black people for the first time. The class of '68 at Yale had 18 black kids.

My class, the class of '73, had 96 black kids. You know, I was
lucky enough to get a fellowship to go to England after I graduated. It's called a Mellon Fellowship. My daddy called it the Watermelon Fellowship, because I was the first black person to get it. That's true. Cornel knows my father. He knows I ain't lyin'.

And then, I taught at Yale for 9 years. I taught at Cornell for 5 years. I taught at Duke for one long, painful year. And then, uh ... that ain't lyin'. I don't even like the airplane to fly over
North Carolina.

(Addressing someone off camera) Oh, that's true. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. And they got good barbecue, too. So maybe it's OK.

And now I've been, thank God, at Harvard for 5 years. Now each of those things was enabled, each was made possible, by the existence of affirmative action. It didn't mean I wasn't qualified. It meant that because of racism I never would have been allowed to compete on a more or less level terrain with white boys and white girls. And for me, for someone who has benefited so much from the opportunities of affirmative action, to stand at the gate and try to keep other black people out would be to be as hypocritical as Clarence Thomas.

And we in the academy have to know that our people, we, those of us who practice African American studies, have to know that our people are under assault. Newt Gingrich and company, that Contract for
America is serious. You know what those guys have said? 'All right, somehow, while we were asleep, all you white women and all you black people got into the middle class. We're not sure how it happened, but the first thing we're gonna do is we're gonna shake the tree, and any of y'all who can't hold on, y'all goin' back. And the second thing, we're gonna set up barriers so that no more of you all can get in here.'

And what we're trying to do is end your mama and your daddy criticism, which is what African Americans, quite frankly, have mastered in for 250 years. We're also trying to end what we used to call the "One N***er Syndrome." You know, this place ain't big enough for more than one of us.

This book[The Bell Curve: Intelligence and Class Structure in American Life (ISBN: 0029146739)  by Herrnstein, Richard J. and  Murray, Charles  Free Press of Glencoe , Inc, Old Tappan, New Jersey, U.S.A., 1994.] is blacklisted in leftist circles  because it shows that when standardized test scores are sorted by race that blacks and Hispanics score much lower than whites and Asians. Thus, a refutation to this vast array of data must somehow be accomplished.

[15] I haven’t read this yet and probably will not after reading this op-ed. This observation occurs in classrooms all across the land in 8,000 schools but must be ignored for political reasons. This book destroys the concept of equality among the races.

Krugman Applies Protosimian Logic to Health Care. Big Government and Higher Taxes! Of Course!

Krugman Applies Protosimian Logic to Health Care. Big Government and Higher Taxes! Of Course!

Abstract: Krugman of the New York Times tautologically restrokes the eternal quest for more government and higher taxes. This pedestrian-level screed warps normal logic, as usual, and offers us the startling and unknown fact that our healthcare system works only because for our government. The usual propagandistic levers are duly pushed in the proper turn-of-the-crank sausage machine processes with the mindless but ever predictable nostrum that we need bigger government and higher taxes. Thus, this article is hopelessly redundant, mired in lies and propaganda, subservient to politicians and may safely be ignored.

The construction of propaganda pieces[1][2][3][4] and other variants of disinformation are designed to sway the reader with some guarantee of money, justice or, more appropriately: the ill-gotten money or hides of evil doers and capitalists.  Tax increases, particularly of the infective and punitive type, always appeal to the mentally unwashed and cognitively disnimble that swarm to their government for welfare, drugs and excuses for losers. Such fabrications of reality soon begin with some worthless anecdote [or a legendary frog story[5]] that rings a distant bell in the cobweb-clutter minds of those inattentive or cognitively disnimble souls who are easy targets for hokum and fluff assaults.  This type of connection then cements in their diminutive neuronal sets the present banality from the Times.  And, as usual, its success signals another round of essays on the splendor of big government and higher and higher taxes. Bacterial infections work like this.

Today, for our amusement, our esteemed non-economist from the New York Times, who is known affectionately as Dr. Paul Krugman of the Walter Duranty Papers, [6] squeezes off another propagandistic offalette[7] sanctioning the enduring confiscation of more private loot. This theme, unvarying from our wonderful Mr. Nobel Laureatte, and rising like the will-o-the-wisp from the swamps dressed as our Expert from Afar,[8] allows the good doctor to puff up some balloons and float them off into the sky for the victims to gawk at and marvel at the profundity. The cancerous topic is, or course, healthcare.

Predictably, it begins with some anecdote:

At a recent town hall meeting, a man stood up and told Representative Bob Inglis to “keep your government hands off my Medicare.” The congressman, a Republican from South Carolina, tried to explain that Medicare is already a government program — but the voter, Mr. Inglis said, “wasn’t having any of it.””[9]-- Health Care Realities By Paul Krugman Op-Ed Columnist Published: July 30, 2009    [Emphasis is mine in all quotes.]

This opening is an example of misdirection and is frequently used to state the conclusion upfront so that the tautological and gratuitous circular logical stream that follows amplifies thus sanctioning this premise. This is one of the middle-grade examples of what the NYT can operate as a slick propaganda machine.[10] They have been cleverer.

At this juncture, we must wonder where the error in logic or syntax exists in the comment. We know that our government is a failure and packed with self-serving criminals such as Senator Chrissy Dodd (D-CT) and Senator Kent Conrad (D-ND) who took bribes for their support of “Friends of Angelo (FOA) loans.” You might recall those are the special mortgages that former Countrywide CEO Angelo Mozilo”[11][12][13] created for this bribers and saved our good senators a lot of money. Gee, were they on the committee that regulated or had oversight on the mortgage industry? We don’t want to be too cynical so somebody look this up and e-mail me if I am wrong.

The correct interpretation of the comment lies in a rejection of the embedded protosimian bias from our author today. The salient fact is that the government does have its infected hands upon our healthcare system and it is going broke both fiscally and intellectually. This selection of a comment from an angry taxpayer thus prompts the writer to soar into the upper reaches for ethereal responses as to why our wonderful government should not control more of our lives and take more and more of our wealth:

It’s a funny story — but it… yadda yadda yadda[14]-- the government is already deeply involved, even in private insurance.

And that government involvement is the only reason our system works at all.”-- Paul Krugman Op-Ed Columnist Published: July 30, 2009

What?????????

This preposterous comment attempts to implant the spurious notion that such things are ONLY possible with the egalitarian, guiding hand of the government pushing the levers.  Why not extend this twisted logic so as to assure us that our vaulted Social Security system-- now broke[15]--‘works’ well due to the diligence of our government. Perhaps we can praise the government for our illegal alien problems, the failure of Amtrak[16] to make a profit[17] in four decades or the successful rehabilitation of criminals? The national debt discussion is reserved for another time.

Aren’t these government programs? Why don’t they work? Does this phony leftist precept need more amplification?

The key thing you need to know about health care is that it depends crucially on insurance.”-- Paul Krugman Op-Ed Columnist Published: July 30, 2009

Here we go! More government??!! Could  we have predicted this?? Is this sausage-machine journalism?

Yet private markets for health insurance, left to their own devices, work very badly:…yadda yadda”-- Paul Krugman Op-Ed Columnist Published: July 30, 2009

Bingo! This theme roils back like malaria.

Today, Medicare — which is, by the way, one of those “single payer” systems conservatives love to demonize — covers everyone 65 and older. And surveys show that Medicare recipients are much more satisfied with their coverage than Americans with private insurance.”-- Paul Krugman Op-Ed Columnist Published: July 30, 2009

I have Medicare and it stinks like dog crap. The agencies I have to deal with are stuffed with slothful and cognitively-deficient protozombies[18] who shuffle paper work around and make stupid mistakes. The system does not pay doctors enough so many reject this horror. I am forced to pay into this crap barrel of twisted logic, stale theories and dysfunctional regulations. The system is broke thanks to our government. Get real. Privatize Medicare.

So here’s the bottom line: if you currently have decent health insurance, thank the government. ”-- Paul Krugman Op-Ed Columnist Published: July 30, 2009

That just went over the top.  Maybe I can thank my car for working well by praising Amtrak. Maybe I can be proud of my dead bolts that protect me from criminals who were ‘rehabilitated’ by our government. I just checked my bottom and it suddenly reminds me of our government.

Krugman is a Tax Zombie. Krugman is only defiant on one issue in economics and that is his ongoing crusade against the existence of Tax-cut Zombies.[19]  He is always in favor of higher taxes. Pick a topic and Krugman will advise that we tax it.[20] Tax cuts do NOT spur growth in the economy.

Restating the current malignant tax case with some truth-base editing:”And that government involvement is the only reason our system fails at everything.”—rycK in today’s blog.

We elect criminals[21], drunks[22] and sons of drunks [like the drunken cop car crasher Patrick Kennedy[23][24],], dopers, parasites, loonies[25], perverts, EcoNazis[26], incompetents[27] and losers and they beseech soiled rags like the NYT to pulverize the facts and disseminate protosimian screeds like today’s submission from Paul Krugman to justify their sorry existence and encourage us to pay more taxes for their welfare and perverted desires.

As the dog returns to its vomit, the NYT returns to tax whoring.

Racism Explodes in the White House from Predictable Cognitive Underloading. Ideological Racism is Safe for Now.

Racism Explodes in the White House from Predictable Cognitive Underloading.  Ideological Racism is Safe for Now.

Abstract: Barry lost intimate contact with his puppet strings and morphed back into his street hustler mode. In the middle of several nasty political problems, mostly from his own party, he now scrambles to set up a White House Beer Blast to unwind and defuse his racist and stupid remarks about acting ‘stupidly.’ The media cluster around his skirts to defend him.

The notion that President Obama is somehow involved in some post-racial era was founded on fluff and hokum at the first dim light but now, in full regalia, we observe that hate-twisted racism is still the glue that binds the radical left together in the political arena. Aligned with the sophomoric low-class[1] radical theorems of the 60s, Barack has reflexively leaped back into his standard South-of-State-Street form and mentality. Ignoring his narrow political training he explodes and dumps on some white cop in a typical white-on-black encounter[2], common in all major cities but sans the details. This is a political blunder.

The Gates Episode[3] has rent the veil in the shabby facade of the Obama Presidency. Many of us warned the voters about his 20-year tautological anti-white tutelage at the knee of Jeremiah Wright and his church’s pews full of swaying and ranting racists. Where is Frank Rich to put some reverse-spin on this and go after the white cop’s church?[4] Now the Beer Summit [5] brings Henry Louis Gates Jr. [“Do you know who I am??]  and Sgt. James Crowley together with Our Fürher and this spur-of-the-moment piece of theater promises to taunt and tempt Obama to posture and work the damage-control levers as his approval rating is plummeting down to dangerously low Bush-Era levels. Not to mention that his promises about jobs, the economy,  saving phony mortgages for the ‘poor’ and abandoning Guantanamo are so much stale tripe, his problems with his own Democrats in his massive-Majority Congress  are astronomical. Here they earned unbridled supremacy in both houses and wrested the Oval Office away from the Nazis and are restuffing the Supreme Court with leftist activist stooges[6] now everything rots by the hinges of Fate and Politics. Of course, the economy is crashing and his stimulus is similar to adding muscle to a track star by injecting some virulent tumors, but, then, he is surrounded by political hacks, liars and criminals.[7] Times are tough.

In collateral damage tones, we observe that the person who reported this incident to 911 has been attacked as a ‘racist.’ Lucia Whalen[8] is now the target of the media as some kind of provocateur and commented:

"I was called racist and I was a target of scorn and ridicule because of the things I never said," she said. "The criticism hurt me as a person, but it also hurt the community of Cambridge."[9]-- 911 caller in Gates case hurt by racist label By Jay Lindsay (AP) July 30, 2009.

You are a racist under leftist definitions because you dared to call the police and report an incident even if you didn’t have any racial or ethnic details. You are expected to look the other way and not be a snitch. Learn this lesson: that is what contemporary black-on-white racism is all about. The least you could have done would have been to lie to the 911 operator and invent a fiction about a pack of howling Klu Klux Klansmen who were on a rousing lynching party in that neighborhood. Refer to the New York Times—aka the Walter Duranty Papers[10]-- for the proper leftist authorized view of this matter.[11]

Another thought:

All white people are racists.[12]-University of Delaware.

Guilty…

Gates is just another embarrassing example[13] of how affirmative action allows the inept to gain acceptance in academia and politics where they cannot compete intellectually and his foul-mouthed rants on the sidewalk, outside his house[?], where he railed against the police in a despicable and disorderly manner that demanded arrest. Al Sharpton would have conducted himself in a more orderly manner as he has experience with riots, some street killings and police and arrests. Apparently Gate’s ‘comments’ to the police have been suppressed[14] we learn from Ann Coulter, always reliable when facts are confidently  mislaid in leftist essays,  as is absolutely necessary to redact any and all incidents to show that only whites are racists.

On MSNBC's "Hardball," Chris Matthews said that Gates did not say, "I'll speak with your mama outside," as stated in the police report.”[15]- How About A National Conversation On Race Hoaxes? By Ann Coulter July 29, 2009 [Emphasis is mine in all quotes.]

Maybe Crissy still has that magical something running up and down his leg.[16] Here is the police report in this footnote:[17] Did he read the police report or did he just ‘know’ a prime example of affirmative action would be above this level of conduct?

Obama was confirmed as an ideological racist[18] who was masquerading as some kind of moderate:

Do we remember this?

"And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."[19]Barack Obama off camera in what he thought was a safe environment to express his views.[20]

Is this the expected product of Affirmative Action? Apparently so, in stereo counting Obama.

[18] An analysis of what Obama was and what he is now is becoming disturbing.
