The Old Brown Lady of the New York Times [Old Gray Lady] Keeps the Hope Alive.
We are always privileged to read the New York Times, the Main Propaganda Machine of the far left, the drug and rabid abortion crowds and their Islamo-Fascist allies. I normally look to the bright and sassy prose of The Old Red Lady, Maureen Dowd for insight into how the Clintons are deficient in style, grace, and morality and such. The dowdy Dowd has earned her Red Label from her hair color[1] and not from her politics as one might first presume from reading my blogs. My emphasis on the font color and boldness for the New York Times’ moniker as the Walter Duranty Papers [2]is based on the Communist and Bolshevik politics of Duranty and his Soviet handlers so it is red by coincidence. Only when Dowd’s corrosive articles too closely parallel the stale propaganda screeds of the far left can the colors truly blend into the traditional Soviet Shade.
Gail Collins is another matter. Lacking the cognitive skills, a praiseworthy countenance or the electric prose style of the other old lady at the Times, I have chosen to give her a slightly different color, also based on her rather plain hairdo and not, necessarily, in honor of her politics. Thusly, she is anointed The Old Brown Lady of the Old Gray Lady. [Do they still use bowls for haircuts like that?] Today, she stumbled upon some interesting political insights in the current messy contest and has shared them with us after some political filtering in today’s NYT article: A Victory Plan for Hillary[3]
Here are some thoughts to ponder:
“Hillary Clinton scored a whopping victory in West Virginia. Trounced Barack Obama, who is consistently described as the inevitable presidential nominee.…Hard to know exactly what to do with this information.” [4] [Emphasis is mine in all quotes.]
Exactly. What could Hillary do? Quit? Wasn’t she endorsed by the NYT?
“So she has to campaign on the theme of Barack is terrific — and he must be stopped! Not the easiest message in the world, but it’s been working out, more or less. Hillary and Bill and the rest of the gang have been behaving so beautifully in recent days that the party’s leaders have been tiptoeing around as if it was quiet time at the nursery.”[5]
This means that Bill has temporarily begged off the Race Card and is busy calling in 30 years of IOUs from his former friends and cronies. Is Barack really terrific or just some plastic political assemble with removable pieces and is really an elitist bigot and ideological racist who chucks chum for the Marxists and the praise of Hamas as well? Does he practice Hezboadulation?[6]
The propaganda trick here is to avoid any reference to race and substitute code words so as to avoid throwing hot oil on the current raging race wars. She posts four impossible [and whimsical] outcomes in Kentucky, Oregon Puerto Rico and even postulates that the faces on Mount Rushmore must sing Hillary’s praises before the inevitable outcome is pronounced uninevitable and the party rushes to its senses. Collins must choose other words:
“Hillary’s tendency to describe herself and her supporters as “hard-working” is getting a little irritating.”
Well, she could say she was lazy and demonstrate that with the pertinent facts that she has only been an influence-peddling Lawyer for the Rose Law Firm or First Lady or the biographer who pays others to write her redacted past. Oh, we are close to the notion that these hard-working are actually white and religious. Watch it! Is Hillary really all that white? Being a white voter is irritating to many liberals.
“If, as is projected, Hillary wins Kentucky and loses Oregon next week, are we supposed to think that it’s because people in Portland don’t work as hard as people in Louisville? Oregonians do have a reputation for being kind of laid back, but they do not put billboards on the highway saying, “Welcome to the State that Likes a Good Nap.”[7]
Before my 40 year semi-self imposed exile from California, I visited my northern neighbors and while passing through the largest marijuana patch this side of the Iron Triangle there was a big sign entering into Oregon said: “Don’t Californicate Us!” This statement in her last paragraph is an omission of salient facts and certain words are a standard propagandistic effort in misdirection on the part of Our Old Brown Lady. Oregon, particularly Eugene, is now the center for sloth, sodomy, drug addiction and illegal aliens, EcoNazis of the tree-hugging sort, Earth First Terrorists and a tax-wasting staging area for SUV bombings and protests against the WTO.[8] Any terrorist or person who sodimizes children would be welcomed in many parts of Oregon
“On West Virginia primary night, Hillary listed the folks who need her to fight hard for them because “they’re fighting so hard every single day,” and she ticked off everybody from waitresses to coal miners to “the trucker, the soldier, the vet, the college student ...” While there are certainly college students working three jobs to get themselves through school, I guarantee you that when it comes to intensive labor, undergraduates as a group do not rank in the top 20.”[9]
No mention of the religious bigotry on the part of the unwashed West Virginny types that cling to their religion in ignorance and drive pickups and are proud of their flag? Does Obama display the flag or put his hand on his heart during patriotic ceremonies. Has Obama ever gone to a NASCAR race?
This cautious political work then concludes with:
“Politicians, unless they are very cynical, tend to believe that their supporters are a lot like them. Barack probably feels his are sort of cool, and unusually smart.
Hillary’s folk, then, would be really, really, really driven. “We know people have to work hard,” she noted, somewhat unnecessarily.”[10]
Did you mean that the WVers are mostly white and not cool? The coal miners and truckers are probably not cool as they probably don’t play hip hop music while they are not thinking abut doing some drugs. Many don’t even take drugs to church. Does Obama really believe that one group that supports him to a level of 90% of their numbers might be black? Is that racism? How about the case where 90% of a group of whites might vote for a white against a black or Hispanic candidate? How does the Drug Vote split?
Our Old Brown Lady offers us a middle-grade although competent political essay to study as a propaganda exercise that is artfully stripped of any notions of race and, thankfully, this construction spares us of any mention of the now world famous Reverend Jeremiah Wright and his pivotal role as the probable biggest reason that whites have abandoned Obama and his howling Black Liberation Theology trailers. Gail has deftly encrypted Hillary’s remarks and also her own politically narrow musings to cast doubt upon Hillary, demonstrate the futility of her cause and has indirectly shined a favorable light on her racist opponent.
This is a wonderful example of political cipher text that summarily dispenses with the central issues of this race-infected race and is a testament to the propagandistic skills at the New York Times. Walter Duranty’s face must be smiling down upon his students from the lobby of the Old Gray Lady.
But, I missed the point of the Title: where is the Victory plan??

[2] In honor of that celebrated Communist stooge and liar and winner of the Pulitzer Prize for the NYT. The color RED is used in my essays in honor of Walter Duranty, a saint, if there could be one, in the Marxist Archives of Honor. Red is in honor of Stalin. Walter Duranty.
“ He said that these people had to be "liquidated or melted in the hot fire of exile and labor into the proletarian mass". Duranty claimed that the Siberian labor camps were a means of giving individuals a chance to rejoin Soviet society but also said that for those who could not accept the system, "the final fate of such enemies is death.". Duranty, though describing the system as cruel, says he has "no brief for or against it, nor any purpose save to try to tell the truth". He ends the article with the claim that the brutal collectivization campaign which led to the famine was motivated by the "hope or promise of a subsequent raising up" of Asian-minded masses in the Soviet Union which only history could judge.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Duranty
