The Old Red Lady of the Old Gray Lady Stooges for Latent Racism.
We can depend on the New York Times, the most prestigious of the Red Rags that continue to mine the intellectual and political graveyards for hints of a glorious return to Communism. They are steadfast in their revisionism in support of anything anti-capitalist.
Yesterday, Senator Obama made some ‘speech’ [1] that was ostensibly written to address some ‘problems’ with his nasty racist pastor, some howling race monger that pretends to be associated in some way with Christianity.
Following the custom, Maureen Dowd, the Old Red Lady and pillarist for the Old Gray Lady,[2] obediently grovels at the base of the Monument to Racism to validate and indemnify ordinary hate. The leftists are desperate for votes.
The adjudication of Wright begins[3]:
“He rightly struck back at right-wing hysteria-mongers. “Talk-show hosts and conservative commentators built entire careers unmasking bogus claims of racism,” he said, “while dismissing legitimate discussions of racial injustice and inequality as mere political correctness or reverse racism.”[4]
Gee, thanx Maureen, but where is your explanation of the Wright lies about the US killing blacks with AIDS virus? Miss that one? No racism here?
“His speech was pitched to superdelegates queasy about his spiritual guide’s Malcolm X-ism, the virulent racial pride, the separatism, the deep suspicion of America and the white man — the very things that Obama’s “post-racial” identity was supposed to have transcended.”[5]
“He now admits that he had heard the Rev. Wright make “controversial” remarks in church [is this now a lie??, ed] , and that he had a “lapse of judgment” when he let the much-investigated Rezko curry favor by buying the plot of land next to his and selling a slice back so Obama could have a bigger yard. Newly alert to the perils of not seeming patriotic enough, he ended a speech in Pennsylvania the other morning with “God bless America!”[6]
Why not God Damn America? Did the NYT and other leftist rags ignore this story for political reasons?[7]
“With the Clintons, we expect them to be cheesy on ethics, so no one is ever surprised when they are.
But Saint Obama played the politics of character to an absurd extent. For 14 months, his argument for leading the world has been himself — his exquisitely globalized self.
He should be congratulated on the disappearance of the pedestal. Leaders don’t need to be messiahs.
Gray is a welcome relief from black and white.”[8]
There are so many mixed metaphors and mangled antecedents here it is difficult to proceed. Given the Old Red Lady’s reputed Irish roots, injected into this controversy to broaden the slugfest, we can only agree with her on the Clinton’s cheesy ethics, a grand understatement Is this like saying that Helen Thomas’s wrinkles are not the most distinguishing feature of her person after making excuses for her standard Marxian mind-set.
Don’t worry Old Red One, Obama is off his pedestal, actually it was more like a stilite’s tall perch, and we can return to political reality. The glow from this phony bozo has dimmed and he joins the usual Grunt and Grab Brigades who have nothing else to do buy poach other people’s wealth with speeches and tax appropriations.
The Creed of the New York Times to celebrate overt racism has been preserved. Such occasions become the signal crescendo of their politics. We salute the Times for its support of another McGovern! Just blame the Wright Wrath on Rush and Talk Radio and harvest the votes. The political stench from the Walter Duranty Papers [9]is almost as pungent as Michael Moore’s multiple essences.
It don’t get much better than this.

[9] [9] Walter Duranty. “ He said that these people had to be "liquidated or melted in the hot fire of exile and labor into the proletarian mass". Duranty claimed that the Siberian labor camps were a means of giving individuals a chance to rejoin Soviet society but also said that for those who could not accept the system, "the final fate of such enemies is death.". Duranty, though describing the system as cruel, says he has "no brief for or against it, nor any purpose save to try to tell the truth". He ends the article with the claim that the brutal collectivization campaign which led to the famine was motivated by the "hope or promise of a subsequent raising up" of Asian-minded masses in the Soviet Union which only history could judge.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Duranty
