The New York Times Moans over Guns, Again, and Again and Again.

The New York Times Moans over Guns, Again, and Again and Again.

Since the New York Times is a tautological screed machine that supports, blindly or otherwise, the selected and sanctioned tenets of the far left, we are, again, again treated to another maudlin essay on gun control. Today, Gail Collins[1], a political activist on the NYT staff turns the old rusty crank and moans about guns, again. She must call this ‘journalism’ or some rough equivalent of that venture, but today’s specimen is so much crude pot boiling.

Guns in the hands of the citizenry are a histrionic non-starter on the Rack of Reason for the Times and other far leftists. They don’t like guns. They want to control all elements of society and to think that a private citizen might have significant firepower at his or her disposal is unthinkable. They might blow away some psychotic mugger who tries to bash in the brains of some old lady for her welfare check and thus ‘violate’ somebody’s rights. It seems that the fastest way for many dictators to deftly disappear from their unearned palaces and stacks of loot sometimes issues forth from some distant source at an advanced kinetic rate and thusly pinkly mystifies the parasite of the moment Such an event might undermine years of leftist political work. The Marxist dictators are the vera icons of the New York Times and other leftists and they don’t want them to lose power in some coup or revolution.

The moans of the left and their fabricated horrors stories about guns have been readily debunked by many such as Richard Poe in his sensational The Seven Myths of Gun Control: Reclaiming the Truth About Guns, Crime, and the Second Amendment (ISBN: 0761525580). The facts are that there is less crime around those who are armed and the criminals know this.

It seems that law-abiding folk who wish to exercise their Second Amendment Rights are the eternal targets of the Times and their Lessers who crank out little screeds almost daily. A month cannot pass the Times with out some new slant on the gun issues. The Walter Duranty Papers[2] routinely whines about such things as guns and taxes and such and frequently duns their endorsed politicos for not pursuing higher taxes or, in this case, the end of guns.

Of course, criminals use guns daily in the business pursuits when they sell drugs, control turf or punish subordinates who misbehave. The same egalitarian cluster who wants guns removed from members of the hated NRA would not sanction a sweep of South Central L.A. or Oakland for guns. I think a case was described by Peter Collier and David Horowitz in Destructive Generation where the Black Panthers in Oakland had some ‘educational’ facility and the cops found hundreds of guns in the lower reaches. It seems no charges were pressed. This makes sense in California where the Black Panthers were, and still are, regarded as Freedom Fighters and their possession of guns is just fine. Perhaps the bullets that tore into Fay Stender[3] and stuck in her spine were a gift from one of her clients or their friends or former lover [George Jackson] and the eternal pain caused her to end it with a bottle of pills in Hong Kong, as I remember. The left have a way of celebrating the thugs and social garbage that haunts this society, but is reluctant to see them imprisoned or executed for their crimes. Mumia is an example. Bobby Seale was anther.

We have plenty of gun laws and one might presume that the Rule of Law that is so frequently touted by the left might apply to gun owners. I think it was Jingo Janet Reno who would not enforce the gun laws. They just ignored these laws.

But, the basis for this anti-gun propaganda is to merely attack the modern capitalist society at every point where they hold and advantage or elements of power. It has no other basis in logic or politics. Whey we suggest that there be a one-strike and you are out law the ACLU buzzards gather in the trees and flock down to defeat any such criminality. We might suggest that we could lower violent crime by eliminating the Recidivism Effect[4] by executing the perp on the first violent instance gives rise to howls and rants from the sordid left. Executed felons have never come back from the grave to murder more people however they seem to have voted from the Floors of Hell a few times at least in Chicago. The left-liberals would rather let criminals run wild in the streets [with guns and dope] than let honest citizens hold them in their homes for protection.

So, the Times whines on about the missing political platforms about gun control that should be proudly listed on the webzines or featured in the ornate speeches of Senators Obama and Clinton. The contestants know that they will lose votes on this issue so they keep silent.

Vote against the Democrats for this reason only.

[1]It should hardly be necessary to add that the immediate issue addressed here is NOT which terms -- human embryo, embryo, fertilized egg, or egg -- are accurate when used to describe the individual member of the species homo sapiens who is killed in the act of removing stem cells.  If Ms. Collins or others, for polemical purposes or otherwise, wish to employ terminology that I consider inaccurate and politically motivated, it's a free country.  But they are not free to put their words in my mouth.” http://www.nrlc.org/Killing_Embryos/NYTimesalteredstatement.html

[2] In honor of the Communist stooge who wrote lies about Stalin’s gulags and worse much to the eternal applause of the NYT and other yellow rags.

[3] “STENDER's story is worth knowing. I've mentioned her in previous posts but her life and times are worth examining because of the cautionary tales they contain. One of STENDER's many claims to fame is that she was GEORGE JACKSON's lawyer. He was accused of killing CORRECTION OFFICER JOHN MILLS. STENDER made JACKSON a cause celebre. She was responsible for editing JACKSON's book, SOLEDAD BROTHER, a collection of JACKSON'S letters from prison and got GREG ARMSTRONG at BOUBLEDAY to publish it. The book was a huge seller and the royalties from it were originally supposed to go to the Jackson defense committee[sic] that she founded. The money would be spent for legal fees and a PR campaign to raise grassroots support for JACKSON and other "political prisoners." In fact, the money was siphoned off to the Black Panthers who used it to buy weapons and rural property in the Santa Cruz mountains. The property was used as a training camp where Panthers and other revolutionaries learned weaponcraft, bomb making and unarmed combat. JACKSON's ultimate goal in this was to have this "army" of trained insurgents bust him out of prison and escape to Angola. http://inthehat.blogspot.com/2005/02/la-weekly-and-ab-this-weeks-la-weekly.html

[4] Hard core criminals like hard core drug addicts have no hope of any cure. Many murders instigated by the people of the streets in urban areas have dozens and dozens of arrests on their rap sheets, some dating back to when they were 12 years old or less. These records are not used in trials as the judge or jury might be ‘biased’ upon learning that some defendant had been arrested for gun violations a dozen times in the past before he murder some person in a liquor store stick-up.
