We are amused at the little fabricated joust between Columbia's president Lee Bollinger and Iranian ‘president” Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The pundits were startled and some upset at the harsh introduction given a visiting ‘head of state’ to a liberal university where an analysis of the ‘facts’ and open mindedness is touted against the prevailing history of the institution. This covey of insults was a predictable sham. Here is why:
Liberalism is the very dialectical[1] and diametric opposite of the defined platform of conservatives and successful capitalism around the globe and is founded on an anti-morality stance supported by lies and bigotry. Liberals stress that ‘talk’—a dialectical exercise-- will lead to new views and remedies on any subject, but modern liberalism uses other methods to assert their long-held beliefs even if they fly in the faces of Reason and History. The liberals have ‘decided’ that Global Warming is a reality and will not even listen to critics or respond to obvious flaws in their silly assumptions. The liberals proffer t heir platforms as fact sans facts. As such, this interaction between Iran and Columbia was a pedestrian essay in stale politics. Both sides hate the US and capitalism. Neither side budged or even blinked. And, why should they? What do they gain politically? They both share a forum to attack Bush.
Let us look at some words and relate them to political precepts.
“Columbia's president, Lee Bollinger, set the combative tone in his introduction of Ahmadinejad: "Mr. President, you exhibit all the signs of a petty and cruel dictator."
Ahmadinejad retorted that Bollinger's opening was "an insult to information and the knowledge of the audience here."
Note the first response of an unhappy liberal is a rabid emotional outburst with waving arms and tears and threats and pointed personal attacks. On cue!
"There were insults and claims that were incorrect, regretfully," Ahmadinejad said, accusing Bollinger of falling under the influence of the hostile
U.S. press and politicians.[2]
He intuitively deciphered the part about Bollinger falling under the influence of the hostile
U.S. press, the New York Times and their lackeys, and their allied politicians as this school President is a simple stooge of the leftist press and political machines. All can see that. All can prepare an attack on liberalism with their own media mush.
In fact, the mindless exclusion and ignoring of opposing political views countering liberalism at Columbia and Cornell and other sites is a bigger insult “to information and the knowledge of the audience” anywhere. Universities are thought to be open and objective to criticism. This is the Big Lie of the Left. The Left have their sacred lies and rituals that make them no different than Islamic Fascisti in their methods, speech and manifold bigotries. They are just as rigid as any mullah, Fuhrer , Duche or potentate. Also, Bollinger simply parrots and piercingly honks the current stale effluviums [3] of the New York Times and all can see this, even in Iran. Bollinger recycled stale issues. Where did Ahmadinejad get his copy for his speech? Not from the Koran.
Now, both warring parties here are absolutely correct with respect to their individual political positions: Bollinger is a rubber stamp caricature of the liberal view who howls about ‘Freedom of Speech’ while seeking ways to curtail this singular freedom for his enemies and was forced to attack Iran’s emissary on the grounds of what he and his leftist followers believe: that Iran is moral, anti-gay, in favor of capital punishment, hence is essentially right-wing, wealthy and has little concern for the ‘oppressed’ and all that stale liberal fluff. What Bollinger did say about Ahmadinejad he would never say about Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Daniel Ortega, seventy five or so Marxist dictatorships in African, living or dead, and Dearest Kim of North Korea. Ahmadinejad, in retort, views Bollinger as a simple puppet of the Decadent West and a purveyor of immorality. They are equally correct in these assertions.
Bollinger challenges Iran on some facts from history because the Holocaust, one of many historical snarls where the ‘facts’ are hazy, is a sacred element in liberalism. Anti-Semitism must be accepted as a legitimate flaw in humanity wherever it occurs even if Israel occasionally bombs Lebanon and other places in Iraq and Syria. Of course, liberals can be anti-Christian and discriminate against white males with impunity and avoid criticism within their own standards. The Holocausts created by leftist allies such as the PRC, USSR in the Ukraine, Rwanda and many other places are not mentioned. What about the Turks who tried to exterminate the Armenians about 1910? No mention of Saddam Hussein and the 400,000 dead Iraqis and Kurds? Apart from the fact that 100,000,000 died in the last century under communism there is only one carefully-defined Holocaust patented and copyrighted to perfection. It is interesting to ask why there was no USSR War Crimes Tribunal to look into the deaths of 35,000,000 Kulaks and other Russians in the 30s during the Terror or the 65,000,000 that starved under Mao. The East Germans and the Stazi were not tried in a show trial for their crimes.
"When you come to a place like this, it makes you simply ridiculous. The truth is that the Holocaust is the most documented event in human history," he said. Ahmadinejad's past statements about the Holocaust also have raised hackles in the West, and were soundly attacked by Bollinger.
We are not surprised, then, when others attempt to come to Columbia University [David Horowitz, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich, etc.] and attack certain obscene elements of liberalism such as late-term abortion, sloth, perpetual welfare, child predators on the Internet, sodomy, kiddy porn, adultery, drug addiction, substance abuse, pedophilia, necrophilia, drug abuse
[4] , phony college courses that raise the GPAs of the incompetent and more that are the common water of Columbia in this leftist pond. They will not tolerate criticism against their views from anywhere. In this respect, they are no different from the Islamo-Fascisti.
All this foam and fluff leads to nothing substantial. Iran came to Columbia University on a mission crafted to insult the Bush Administration and was attacked in a few very limited areas because of the intrinsic Islamic Morality of Iran and their anti-gay beliefs. This encounter accomplishes nothing and both issues are not even relevant in the current War on Terrorism As such, Bollinger did nothing to attack Iran on terror and remained silent and refrained from supporting President Bush in any way or manner. The Iranian President and Bollinger are allies against Bush in nearly all matters of import.
Why would be expect Columbia, as the self-erected Apex of Liberalism, to have acted any other way? There is no reason. This is all predictable in political terms.
Bollinger and Ahmadinejad both Dance the Dunciad and are political parasites who have much in common in their hatred of capitalism.

[1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dialectics. “In classical philosophy, dialectic (Greek: d?α?e?t???) is controversy, Viz., the exchange of arguments and counter-arguments respectively advocating propositions (theses) and counter-propositions (antitheses). The outcome of the exercise might not simply be the refutation of one of the relevant points of view, but a synthesis or combination of the opposing assertions, or at least a qualitative transformation in the direction of the dialogue.”

The angels shudder as they anticipate the punishment of Allah to descend upon the people who commit this indescribable sin.”
