Goodtime CharlieRangel  and the Draft

We can appreciate the fine work of Representative Charles Rangel, Democrat from Harlem. He has managed to submit a bill to reinstate the draft, which got only two votes, neither of which was his, but that does not matter. It is the intent that is important.

Charles Bernard Rangel ( with racist comments like "George Bush is our Bull Connor." ) is from the Fifteenth Congressional District of New York which includes encompasses Upper Manhattan and includes such neighborhoods as Harlem, Spanish Harlem, Washington Heights, Inwood, and part of the Upper West Side. He is the new charmian elect of the House Ways and Means Committee. He is a low-level criminal as he was arrested on trespassing on charges, for protesting at the Sudanese Embassy in Washington.

Charlie argues for the reinstitution of the military draft so as to share the responsibility and whatnot from all economic strata of society. That is interesting. What Charlie really means is that many of his constituents are missing an opportunity to settle down and milk yet one more government program. He sponsored the infamous Universal National Service Act of 2003, 108th Cong., 1st session., H.R. 163, that was a bill to reinstitute the military draft in the United States in 2003. The House roll call vote on the bill was only 2 in favor, 402 against. The only two yea votes were Jack Murtha (the hero of ABSCAM) and Pete Stark with Charlie voting against his own phony bill. Charlie was too cowardly to vote on his own bill.

Harlem and surrounding districts in NYC are famous for crime, drug addiction, sloth, sodomy, educational failure and social economic perversions. As such, Charlie wants a piece of this pie for his constituents and others in inner cities of the US, strong Democratic arenas with a 90% Democrat voting record.

There are several problems: Firstly, the Army does not want druggies, criminals, slothful recruits from the inner cities or any other location as they had to put up with in the 60s. I was a ‘brig chaser’ in the US Navy at Treasure Island in the 60s and escorted many of these criminals to courts martial for sentence. Most got off very light with a ‘convenience’ discharge and were kicked out. Few got a BCD (bad conduct discharge) or a DD (dishonorable discharge). The military just doesn’t want such social baggage. Boot camps such as Fort Ord were swamped with the low class, ignorant, social misfits and losers who were offered the choice of joining the military or going to jail by some liberal judge. These were the ones who wound up ‘fragging’ their officers in Viet Nam, much to the applause of the liberals in San Francisco and Harlem. They hate the military. Charlie wants to milk it.

Next, any of his constituents that wish to joint the military, and there are fine soldiers from his district serving now, can simply apply to join. If they are crime and drug free and high-school educated this would give Charlie the chance to offer a military career to his voting base on a competitive basis. Those who did not want to serve would not be bothered. That doesn’t work for Charlie. He wants to put losers in the military so they can complain and howl and attack our soldiers.

But, no. Charlie sees the 100,000$ per soldier money gig here and notes that much of his criminal constituency is not eligible for this reward for military service. Charlie sees this as a loss for the criminal elements, and justly so. His most loyal voters are disenfranchised as they cannot qualify for military service.

Having been a salesperson in NYC in the 70s with many accounts in Harlem and Uptown Manhattan, one is first struck by the ugly crime statistics. At one of my accounts near 125 and Amsterdam Ave, my car was bombarded with several flower pots dropped from a high floor in one of the many high-rise slums which nearly destroyed the car. Pots went through the windshield. The police ignored the crime report (they could have looked for dirt on the window sills above the car) and I had to contact a local business to haul the wreck out of the city into New Jersey. Many taxis would flatly refuse to take passengers into Charlie’s districts. There used to be a sign in the taxi front cab next to the license and picture of the driver to the effect that the driver MUST take you anywhere in the city. What a joke. They just said “Get out, I will not go there.” The subway (A Local) was a holocaust of dirt, grime, bums, hookers and druggies shooting up in the cars. The D train was almost as bad. The cars were dirty, debris ridden and worse. But, they have the vote! So, the existence of Charlie Rangel.

There are a lot of political articles on the Internet that purport to show that ‘crime is down in NYC.’ The ugly facts are that crime in Charlie’s districts has not abated. The political considerations are that crimes are ignored or not reported for the most part and levels are assessed by the murder and mugging rates, having nothing to do with non violent social crimes such as theft, drugs, kiddy porn, gambling, peddling of knockoffs and more. It is understandable that Charlie would like to cover this up. Mayor Rudolf Giuliani set out to fight crime in the Big Apple and searched thousands and thousands of people in search of guns and more. Crime, in that format, declined. It just moved to the other boroughs. Crime stats are a political football with moving goal posts in the big cities.

Why not just report crime stats by precinct in the major cities so we can see where the high crime areas are? Politics is the answer. The politicians in NYC want to show ‘progress’ in addressing their crime and other social issues. Such a joke!

Crime is rampant in the inner cities in African and Hispanic sectors and the Democrats try to suppress this information with political fluff. Charlie has made his career off of inner city crime. The current FBI records, politically inflammatory to many, show that about one third of all black males (nation wide) will serve time in prison. That statistic affects Charlie’s districts. There are similar disproportioned statistics for Spanish Harlem as well. When minorities have a disproportional presentation in prison, the Democrats have to put up phony and silly political arguments and give excuses for the facts. If 1/3 will serve time and there is a high population of blacks in Charlie’s district then how many of his constituents will spend time in prison? 35%? More? No wonder Charlie needs some new laws.

Perhaps Charlie can tell us how many of his constituents can pass military entrance exams, highly weighted in cognitive skill questions. The point here is that Charlie needs a way to circumvent the testing system. He has no other choice. A ‘compulsatory’ draft is the most convenient way of offering employment to the unemployable. Nancy Pelosi cannot accept this as she ‘loathes the military’ as do the Clintons. Charlie loses this round. Charlie ought to stick with welfare and phony rehab programs. That works for him and his constituents.

Our modern all-volunteer military does not need criminals and the willfully and uneducated. Maybe Charlie needs Ebonics translators in all military units to improve communications. Those who can pass the physical and educational hurdles are welcome in the military and those who cannot are not.

Caught in the ABSCAM sting undercover FBI agents posing as representatives of wealthy Arab sheiks offered to pay him to obtain asylum in the United States.

At a clandestine meeting place in a Washington, D.C. townhouse, the agent offered Murtha $50,000 cash while taping the session and he refused it, stating “I'm not interested...at this point.”^[4][5] Charges against him were dropped in return for his testimony against Representative Frank Thompson. A grand jury failed to indict Murtha; on a 6-6 tied vote, he was eventually “cleared” by the House Ethics Committee in July 1981. Murtha has always declared he was innocent and has said, “I met with two men who I believed had a substantial line of credit that could provide up to 1,000 jobs for the district. I broke no law. Any decision by the HEC is a joke given our system so he was NOT FOUND INNOCENT. He is a professioinal criminal who escaped justice by virture of this poltical influence. He is the earmark king of the Democrats.

“Starting in the 1990s, Rep. Alan B. Mollohan (D-W.Va.) chose an unusual way to funnel federal funds into his poverty-ridden district. He set up a network of nonprofit organizations to administer the millions of dollars he directed to such public endeavors as high-tech research and historic preservation.”

“Over the same period, Mollohan's personal fortunes soared. From 2000 to 2004, his assets grew from no more than $565,000 to at least $6.3 million. The partners in his rapidly expanding real estate empire included the head of one of these nonprofit groups and the owner of a local company for which he arranged substantial federal aid.”

“As a result, Mollohan, 63, faces a widening federal investigation. The FBI has notified his nonprofit organizations that they will be subpoenaed soon and, according to Mollohan, a subpoena has already been served on a D.C. real estate company in which he has invested. In addition, Mollohan plans to divulge that he misstated on House financial disclosure forms the amount of loans and income from some of his real estate holdings.”

From the article below, there is reason to believe that John Murtha has used taxpayer’s monies to buy votes. The question here is whether he abused his office to trade military appropriations to gain campaign money from those who got the contracts. One relative and an old crony appear to have some unfair advantage in obtaining military contracts.

Murtha, a longtime senior Democrat on the House Appropriations Committee, has battled accusations over the years that he has traded federal spending for campaign contributions, that he has abused his post as ranking party member on the Appropriations defense subcommittee, and that he has stood in the way of ethics investigations. Those charges come on top of Murtha's involvement 26 years ago in the FBI's Abscam bribery sting.

At issue is Murtha's relationships with two defense lobbyists. Paul Magliocchetti of the PMA Group is a former aide to the lawmaker, and Robert "Kit" Murtha is his brother and was a senior partner at KSA Consulting from 2002 to 2005.

The PMA Group has become the go-to firm to approach Murtha as ranking Democrat on the Appropriations defense subcommittee, CREW charges. In the 2006 defense appropriations bill, PMA clients reaped at least 60 special provisions, or "earmarks," worth more than $95 million.

The PMA Group and its clients have been top campaign contributors for Murtha: $274,649 in the 2006 campaign cycle, $236,799 in the 2004 cycle and $279,074 in the 2002 cycle, according to CREW's tallies.

After Kit Murtha joined KSA Consulting in 2002, one of his first clients was a wireless networking company called Aeptec Microsystems Inc., which was seeking to build a business complex in Murtha's district with a Pennsylvania state grant. Aeptec executive Michael Hoban contributed $2,000 to Murtha's campaign that year.

The cowardly terrorists could only sneak around buildings and shoot off one missile and then run for cover. There were no instances where the Brave Army of Islam faced off Israel to a battle. They looked like rats in the latrines when the IDF came for a fight. We are reminded of the cowardly and instant disintegration of the Iraqi Republican Guards in the Mother of All Battles in Iraq.

Taking some character imprints from Animal Farm, by H. G. Wells, we can wonder how much the Plans of Napoleon [Nancy Pelosi of the Plastic Face] now resemble the barn stall sweep ings.

Snowball [Hillary Clinton] has called on her Plastic Anorexoid [James Carville] to start the Hate Drums pounding so she can push Squealer [Howard Dean] out of the picture. She must sweep out the stalls to clear a clear and direct path toward Marxism, as her Saul Alinsky professor told her.

Carville is not exactly the kind of barnyard droppings that Squealer could tolerate in a decent revolution. Even pigs have their singular elements of self respect it seems.

Amidst this subplot Napoleon has chosen Rep. Murtha [Pinkeye ??] for his Majority Leader. It turns out that this guy is a crook and ratted out on a fellow miscreant to save his sorry behind in the Abscam Sting of 1980. Having porcine features, appropriate to the Pigs in the novel Animal Farm, we note his quest for power and declarations about rats and squealers [not Howard dean in this particular instance]. This disgusting parasite, a typical crooked far left liberal like Bill Clinton, LBJ, Teddy Kennedy and his relatives or his erstwhile pump Snowball, is some kind of paragon of virtue using liberal Democrat reasoning.

There is a lot of talk about impeachment of President Bush. This is a great idea.


Since we lost [no regrets] DeWine, Chafee and other RINO bunglers from the Republican ranks, there is no better way to ensure the Democrats a solid victory in 2008. They could pick 100 seats in the House and probably 30 in the Senate. Think of the power to the people! They could pass some affirmative action legislation so as to give illegal aliens 2 ot 3 votes to "redress sins of the past." Power to the people!

[1] The Senate has a majority of Dems, with 2 Independents, and can vote to remove Bush. That is a wonderful solution to getting power for the left. Get revenge now!! Get rid of the white males in the US government. Go for it!  Power to the people!

[2] The House determines the 'rules' for impeachment as they did in the Case of Bill Clinton and can easily pass the proper Articles of Impeachment. Go for it. Power to the people!

All this is wonderful news for a couple of reasons:

[a] Bush is of no use to us anymore and will probably not have the backbone to veto any of the Marxist /Socialist Crap we are going to get from Nancy Pelosi [Spartacus of the Red Flag Marxists]. Power to the people!

What link is that? Will Nancy break the link between labor union lobbyists, Emily’s List and La Raza and her party members? Really? Will Code Pink be allowed to lobby? How about Moveon.com?? How about AFL/CIO? Can they still lobby?

[2] Enact all the recommendations made by the commission that investigated the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

That is interesting, and expensive. More phony jobs for meso-morphs [ignorant crotch grabbers with little or no hygiene training at airport security lines who cannot speak English and have no idea what their job is except to vote Democrat if they don’t get caught.] at the docks and more in the airports? They get great salaries and free medical benefits. These incompetents cannot detect 3 out of 10 objects during security tests. Double their pay!

[3] Raise the minimum wage to $7.25 an hour, maybe in one step. Cut the interest rate on student loans in half. Allow the government to negotiate directly with the pharmaceutical companies for lower drug prices for Medicare patients.

That will cut jobs, but the Red Flag types will blame business for this. And, why stop at $7.25?? Why not $25 or $30?? They need a livable wage we are told. Who can live on a mere $8 or so and some crummy bennies?? Be generous Nancy!! Regulate business and dictate the prices. It worked well at Moscow Central Planning.
